Mar. 29, 2007 Useless Knowledge attracts writers from every walk of life. Thomas Keyes writes mainly about his travel experriences. I don't have the time or the financial resources to circle the globe, I enjoy rading Keyes travel pieces. Ken Hughes writes from the prespective of an old codger taking on Uncle Sam. He has a cretin appeal, he's not my cup of tea but some folks have a hankering for the old sod. Steve Dayton writes about golf, he makes you feel like it's the greatest game in the world. Jim Montoya writes about UFO"s or at least he did. and thne there's Meri, she writes about celebrities, and more power to her. Tom Pain in the rebuttal section has taken poor Meri Ulrich to task for writing about the world of entertainment. I notice every time Meri writes about a celebrity, Tom criticizes her for doing so. Pain accuses Meri of being obsessed with celebrites. Dear God if that is not the kettle calling the pot black I dont know what is. Pain doesn't write a sentence or two criticizing Meri's fondess for celebs he writes a whole essay about it. Pain uses his criticism of Meri as an excuse for writing about celebrities himself. After Meri, Pain is our leading writer about celebrities. Tom Pain , check out the title of this website, its Useless Knowledge. If Meri wants to write aobut celebrites, good God let the poor woman write about celebrities. Leave her alone. Mr. Pain if you wrote a series of articles about gay ballet dancers, that's fine with me. I always say, write about something you know about, write about something that's dear to your heart. I have absolutely no interest in gay ballet dancers, but if you want to write about hem, I say more power to you. We are a big family here and we all have our focus. I enjoy reading Meri's articles on Anna Nicole Smith and I'm not the only one who likes her articles. We are a family, some of us are conservative, some of us are liberal. some of us are male, some of us are female. some of us are straight, and some of us are gay.
