Mar. 26, 2007 In my various writings on this forum, I seem to touch a nerve more often when I write pieces on Christians. I love to read the responses that I receive, both pro and con. The responses that I receive that are favorable come from those who are educated, or at least free thinkers. They are those who aren’t of the typical sheep-like mentality that are somewhat synonymous with the far right. Sometimes with the Christian responses, I need to decipher what it is that they’re trying to say. Most times they are quite illiterate and can’t quite get out what it they may be trying to say. As in most cases, illiteracy and stupidity go hand in hand, so the jumbled rebuttals that I receive from Christians don’t surprise me. I’ll continue to write about Christians because they fascinate me with their stupidity. I have come to realize over the years that for the most part, Christians are directly responsible for most of the crime around the world. In this country, I suspect that they are behind all of the crime. This isn’t just baseless rambling. I have statistical proof. I won’t plaster a bunch of links to click on to trying to prove my point. My view comes from years of experience and from years also of dealing with and observing Christians. Proof of Christian violence, stupidity, and ignorance can be found all over the internet and from simply reading truthful history. Proof of Christian ignorance and stupidity can also be easily derived from just being observant. First of all, this is a “Christian” nation. That’s the widely held claim by all of the hillbillies, rednecks, social cowards, and other gospel proclaiming morons within America’s borders. My meaning of a social coward is someone who covets “fitting in” more than being free to question, and free to think for ones self. This type of dimwit would eagerly jump off of a cliff because everyone else is doing it. Anyway, by claiming to be a Christian nation, juxtaposed with the highest crime rate in the world, kind of puts the “final nail in the coffin” no pun intended, to the notion that Christianity is a benefit to the social fabric of a society. This country leads the world in murders, rapes, robberies, assaults and all other social crimes. On the other hand, those societies that have put science and other higher education on the forefront, have much better living conditions. The problem is, the religious dimwits in this country are always trying to point the finger at someone else as being the heathen rather than facing the truth. They claim for instance that China exploits its poor. Oh my goodness! What hypocrisy! What do you call turning the other way when it comes to how the Mexicans are being exploited? My girlfriend and I like to compare notes at the end of our working day on; “What the stupid Christians did today.” I have opened her eyes as to how these buffoons operate. Before she would come home and discuss what a certain or other person did at work, but never put two and two together. I began to ask her, “Are they Christian?” All of a sudden, it was like she just lit up. “Why, yes they are!,” she said. You see, you can 9 times out of 10 see who the lawbreakers are by what they proclaim to be. Christians are always the adulterers, the thieves, the malicious backbiters and so on. Yet they claim in the next breath of who will be going to hell, or to judge someone else about what it is that they themselves are doing. They come in red-eyed Sunday morning to church from a night of partying, then shake their empty heads and “tsk, tsk” someone else who may have stumbled. Christians are the ones out on the highways who drive twenty and thirty miles per hour over the speed limit, cutting people off, gesturing to others that they are “number one” by using the middle finger rather than the index. As an aside, I must here insert to Christian readers that the index is the second finger---after the thumb. Christians are the ones who are obese, gathering around food as if there were no tomorrow. With an exception of a few food drives and the occasional Salvation Army Thanksgiving Day meals to the homeless, these people are just flat out gluttonous. You had better have armor plated gloves if you try and take food from a hungry Christian. Christians are financially irresponsible. They always try and live beyond their means. The “worldly” possessions is what they all crave. They call up their sky daddy for a new car or mob the clothes stores for new duds to show off on Easter Day. They want the largest of homes; not what they need, but what they want. They desire the largest of vehicles; for status, not what they need, but what they want. Christians are superficial and shortsighted. How often have you seen a stupid athlete, lottery winner, or obnoxious so-called “celebrity” wear a huge cross and thank god for their winning a game, or being rewarded for a new “album?” Even if this god of theirs existed, would they think that the creator of the Universe would actually be interested in a dumb football game? All of this overuse, triviality, and gluttony has been supposedly ordained by their murderous, vindictive, war-monging sky dad and his carpenter son. That last description sounds as if I were describing a human-being more than a god, doesn’t it? Perhaps at the root of all of this lawlessness is the fact that man created god, not the other way. Some may say that in my description of some of this society’s problems, I could be speaking of anyone. It may be said that there is no proof that all of these lawbreakers are Christian. Well I didn’t say that, they did. Remember most people will claim an allegiance to Christianity in this country. The fact is, the more that they proclaim it, the more that a thinking person should hold them at length. Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker, David Koresh, Adolph Hitler, Jim Jones, and Jeffery Dahmer, to name a few were all Christian. Those who owe allegiance to the KKK, The Aryan Nation, the tax evading militia groups of the northwest, the former slave owners of the south, and the screeching, swaying, fat greasy gospel hollering buffoons that can be seen on the telly are, or were all Christian. In sharp contrast, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, and various other ‘movers and shakers’ are, or were not. The problem is, is that Christianity appeals to dimwits, plain and simple. These types of people need to be told, or read if they can, about moral issues. If an issue of virtue is not in the bible, than it doesn’t include them. In other words, Christians need to be told not to steal and not to kill. They need to be told not to sleep with another man’s wife or another woman’s husband. They need a police car sitting beside the road in order to drive the speed limit. However, if they are caught and convicted of a crime, they can simply “plead the blood” and magically they are then clean as a whistle. This is the danger, and the legacy of these bird-brained people; a society of ill-behaved, irresponsible morons in which on the whole, don’t contain the righteousness that the typical humanist or atheist has in their pinky. ------------ About the author Brian E.
