Democratic Strategy Number 59

By Ken Hughes
Mar. 10, 2007

I think that’s about the number of times Democrats have changed their minds on how to approach the public for the 2008 elections. John Edwards is refusing to participate in a debate hosted by Fox News to be held in Reno Nevada August 14th. Who says the Main Stream Media isn’t perceived to be Liberal friendly?

John Edwards is being pushed to the far left by Move-On-Dot.Org. What can Mr. Edwards expect to gain by refusing to face a critical press? If Mr. Edwards expects to become the Democratic candidate it would seem he would go anywhere talk with anyone in the hopes of convincing the skeptics he’s a man of all the people. A man who can’t face critics is a poor choice for the highest political office in the land. I doubt Mr. Edwards soft spot isn’t in his heart, perhaps it’s in his head.

Short of a fatal duel in the park between Hillary and Obama John Edwards doesn’t stand a chance of becoming the Democratic candidate for president. What he may have in mind is being offered the vice presidents spot. John Edwards is tainted merchandise neither Hillary nor Obama would consider Edwards for second chair. The voters know Mr. Edwards and to know him isn’t to love him.

What makes men like Edwards think they have the ability to lead the nation especially when they’re trying to convince the voters the wheels have fallen off this thing we call the government. They have no solution for a fix all they know is it’s broke and the Republicans broke it.

Here are the facts.

Unemployment is down, incomes are raising, the public’s net worth is the highest it’s ever been, drug use is down 17% in the past 8 years. . More young men and women are volunteering to serve their country than have for a long time. Approval ratings for the president and the military both exceed those of congress and certainly those of third rate presidential candidates This nation with a very few exceptions is on a roll up hill. A Democratic president will bring the roll to a dead stop

The people of America are living longer and better than ever so what’s to fix? Every economic indicator including those coming from the government agrees everything points upwards. There’re no negatives only positives so what can Democrats do except turn a robust economy around and raise taxes. I know many will disagree, before you try to discredit me do some serious research and you’ll find most if not all of what Democrat candidates are telling voters is a lot of horse pucky

There should be a law no politician can speak without verifying his or her facts by at least three independent sources.

Foot Note .

More young men and women are killed on the streets of America by drugs alcohol sex offenders and poor drivers than in combat in Afghanistan and Iraq. If congress would address these problems the rest may not seem so bad.
