 By Ken Hughes Mar. 5, 2007 Listening to Matt Drudge this evening I was astounded to hear excerpts from a prayer meeting / Sunday Church Service Hillary Clinton attended and participated in today. Man she was nearly as inspiring as Billy Graham For years I traveled the south and southwest United States and northern Mexico as a salesman. Late at night while driving to my next stop I would listen to XERF from Del Rio Texas. Once a country and western station it later became the voice of the Commercial God or rather his handlers. Every 15 minutes to a half hour there would be a different Bible thumping preacher promising to save our soles for the price of a small piece of the burial garment of Jesus or a thorn from his crown [authenticated by no one.] One brazen preacher even offered personally autographed pictures of Jesus Christ, It turned out they were pictures of a drunken Mexican who lived across the boarder in Ciudad Acuna claiming his name was Jesús Cristo. If you put your hand on the radio and closed your eyes one of two things would happen, you’d be saved or you’d run off the road and get killed either way you were assured of God’s blessings according to XERF. As I said before I began to ramble Hillary was there in church sans her separation of church and state garments actually perching a sort of sermon to the prisoners. There were several “I love the Lord” and other spontaneous praise the Lords voiced by Hillary. She came very close to saying she had Jesus in her camp. I don’t know about the rest of you but to me the Clintons have never seemed to be the religious type. Democrats used Bush’s religious beliefs against him as I recall in 2002 and again in 2006. I doubt Hillary will stick with this new found religious transformation much beyond the city limits of where ever it was she preached. Not to worry Hillary never stays on one subject very long. She has a tendency to use a finger in the air as an antenna picking up the signals for the next campaign stop. I can’t wait for her campaign stop in Hamtramck and Dearborn Mi. where most of the populations are Arab with many Iraqi Muslims. Whose God will Hillary worship then? I’m very sure Hillary is comfortable in her new roll playing a Christian she had years to practice when she was affiliated with Hollywood crowd. I’m sure they told her it’s ok to play God if you truly believe you are God.
