![]() By Ken Hughes Mar. 3, 2007 Usually I stay out of these situations, most are silly and inconsequential. What does the way Anna Nicole, the Hilton sisters and Britany Spears lives have to do with life as we peasants know it? There’s little chance many of us will ever gain the notoriety these three Bimbos have, there’s probably less chance any of us would care to fame has a price tag that’s seldom worth paying. It’s after all the Media who makes and breaks celebrities. Is the Medias exacting their pound of flesh reporting at nausea the antics of these people? It’s possible Anna Nicole and her son would have lived had they not been forced into the limelight? Can we trust the reports of her death, don’t most county / city officials in Hollywood take their marching orders from the powerful entertainment agencies? Or do we really care what the causes were? Can Paris and Britney be far behind? Over the years dozens of Hollywood’s elite have fallen victim to the good life at an early age. Alcohol drugs and the good life are a fast track to the cemetery. This statement isn’t meant to be critical it’s a warning to those who lack the necessary control to live a long healthy meaningful life and not throw it away on drugs and booze. As Judge Judy is fond of saying “Beauty fades dumb is forever.” One of the most beautiful women in the entertainment business is Sally Fields at 60 plus she looks years younger. As she says in the Boniva commercial, “I have this one body and this one life I intend to take care of them.” I’ve lived my life by the same standards at 75 and never having had a serious medical problem and being able to do all the things I've ever done [perhaps in slow motion but do them never the less] I can testify clean sober living works. Only those who give up become victims of the HMO’s Not being a religious person I can’t preach I can only testify the good life has nothing to do with drugs and alcohol. It has a lot to do with self-respect clean living and diligence. ------------ About the author: Ken Hughes is a retired businessman, who’s traveled extensively, observed much and learned much.
