Jun. 22, 2007 Tom Pain née Ron Lewis, a former
contributor to this otherwise illustrious website, posted a rebuttal recently,
if I am not mistaken, in which he listed about 90 articles and rebuttals that I
had written that he claimed, through either the mendacity or the ignorance that
are synonymous with his names, were proof that I was posting more hate than
he. I hope I’m not wrong here
in my allegations, for I didn’t read this libel very carefully. It seemed to me however, that Pain
née Lewis included among my I did post some titles like Frederick Smith Is A Wild-Eyed Visionary,
Frederick Smith’s Space Program Is A Mosaic of Fantasies and I’m Surprised That Frederick Smith Is
Not Into UFO’s, but I wrote those tongue-in-cheek. They certainly were not meant to convey
any derogatory meaning. I was just
joking a little. It’s true enough that I disagree with
Frederick Smith’s ideas on space travel, but it’s really neither
here nor there, as probably neither of us will ever get to the stars, even if
other people do. It’s just an
interesting topic to moot about.
The idea of going to the stars appeals to me too; I just don’t
think it’s going to happen, and especially to me, now approaching age 70. Incidentally, in case I have a lot of respect and admiration for Frederick and I have had some debates on other
subjects too, like homosexuality, black criminality and capital punishment, but
again these are merely an exchange of ideas. There’s certainly no malice on my
part. Some of Pain née Lewis has accused me repeatedly
of hating Americans, Jews, homosexuals and others. He has also accused me of murdering Jews
and molesting children. The man is
an obvious psychopath and should not be taken seriously. I’ve always assumed that his
antipathy towards me springs from the envy he must feel when contemplating my
intellectual superiority to him, but a novice to the site may take his criminal
defamations seriously, so I thought I’d clear the air. So let me conclude by saying that I am glad
that Frederick Smith is a regular contributor to the website, and I read almost
all of his articles. Whenever he
has been off the site for an extended period, I have contacted him, urging him
to start posting again. ------------ About the author Thomas Keyes: I have written two books: A SOJOURN IN ASIA (non-fiction) and A TALE OF UNG (fiction), neither published so far.
