Jun. 6, 2007 We celebrate the eradication of smallpox disease and probably a host of others with a wry small, sometimes gloating on how we homo sapiens as a species have succeeded in almost all the endeavors we have ever set foot on hand at but then suddenly we remember a host of other myriad of diseases which have continued to defy modern medicine or our arsenal of modern day weapons. “Deathbed Confession” Aired on National Radio….. Reads an article in which the writer lays certain facts as ‘confessed’ by one E.Howard Hunt, former CIA agent, former Watergate conspirator and former living person. ‘To fulfill all righteousness’ these ‘revelations’ may grant closure to a most shameful and despicable aspect of American ‘reverse domestic policy’ surely gone awry and grant many consciences of people a reprieve and once and maybe explain why. Who was behind it? What really happened? Why did it happen? Here always aspersions cast as to the complicity of the CIA, the Mafia, Cuba and none so plausible to float as the Lee Harvey Oswald conspiracy theory – so we were told to believe that while instructions were issued to Mr. Jack Ruby to make sure Oswald’s story was not told as the spin doctors worked stories of Oswald’s mental problems, romance failures and so on…. Heck the guy was just a pecker wood who probably had been identified and matched from CIA surveillances years before as a possible ‘likely’ and ‘able danger’ but because of the plot already on ground he was allowed to proceed while the CIA honed out their dastardly act to last detail. The Hunt revelation purportedly coming from the grave was according to the writer courtesy of Hunt Jr. who was sworn to reveal a package – a recording by the dying Hunt senior only after his death and most certainly death under questionable circumstances. It is a truism that the CIA can never be outdone – not least by itself by any stretch, but if later released classified records come to actually corroborate the accusation by Hunt then most probably events like 9/11 are just a dress rehearsal for something more than the phrase ‘far more sinister’ can describe or portend, and that which many conspiracy theory buffs have yelling themselves hoarse over for years. JFK did probably for the United States of America more than any 2, 3 or 4 US Presidents put together, and if the assertion that it was Kennedy’s oath to “shatter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter the remnants into the wind” being carried out that signed his death warrant then this revelation coming against what we know of this ‘institution of secrecy’, then indeed it is a great cause for concern, global concern… From what we know of the CIA as certainly not being itinerant Washington DC soccer moms their morals have never been a subject of productive debate – it would get nowhere bringing issues of scruples, due process, sanctity of life and so on and so forth but the raw brazen revelation; the subject of so much speculation, so much investigation …so so much theorizing has always been what was suspected that the CIA had - the central role in the crime is mind boggling. The ivory tower of freedom and free thought really is not but an elaborate portico into a dungeon and keep where a head of state must answer to figures in the shadows he can hear but never see or question and should he death will come with no possible hope of anyone actually knowing what, where, how or why. Assassinations of American presidents may have been a past time of mythic and lore propensities; that being the sole preserve of lunatic fringes acting usually on impulse of very very sick brain waves and signals, but for a government institution to be fingered behind such an act marks the end of freedom as it is, keep in mind that the US will, and is known to near annihilated whole cultures for less provocations. Personally the JFK assassination saga has been a matter of interest to me since high school and I have pondered over the Warren Commission Report over and over again for my level of understanding then and find that almost nonchalant reception the populace has greeted these revelations to be troubling to say the least. Finally if the aspersions thrown also that Lyndon B. Johnson has is hands in the ‘cooking of the pie’ then certainly the beacon of democracy has been no better than the motley of ‘banana republics’ scattered all over the globe and should certainly , absolutely not and categorically desist from telling other nations how to run their governments !
