Dreams

Dreams are like smoke-spheres

that rise up from the fire

burning fast with vitality

then slowly morphing

to blackened ash

with smoke-filled cinders

that refuse to let go of life--

struggling to exist,

even in vapors

that float up

to the stars.

Astral Traveler

Astral traveler

sojourning through the cosmos

in my early morning dreams

embracing the sky

becoming one with the stars!

Crashing abruptly

on a bed of earthly demands

as the alarm clock whines,

invading the sacred silence...

It is too often

that I am awakened.
