July 20, 2007 - Dogs act crazy sometimes. - Ya. - This dog acts crazy sometimes. - No kidding. Last night he was growling at me and staring at me all night. - Sometimes he’s cuckoo. - He’s a good dog though. - I know. He’d bite someone if he had too though, and that’s a good thing. You know once I read that there was a meeting of municipal workers to talk about their stories of how they had run-ins with dogs. Being chased, being bitten, and all of that. - Oh ya… - Ya, and in the article, it said that every dog will bite if properly provoked. It said that a Lab’s bite is 1700 pounds per square inch, and that a Pit Bull’s bite is 2400 psi. - That’s a lot. But my sweet pup doesn’t want to bite anyone. - Ya, I know. He’s a good one. He’s not alpha male or anything. It’s your cats that are killers. They are the ones that like to tear off the heads of birds and such. - Ya. Then they bring them to me as trophies. - Small dogs are crap, aren’t they? - I don’t care much for small dogs. - They are yappy as hell, every one I seen. I’d like to bark back at one of them sometime. I don’t know who would get a small dog. - Small dogs are loud. - They have small man syndrome. Short man syndrome. Something to prove. But for dogs. I bet our dog could kick some ass. - No. Don’t say that. He’s a sweetheart. - He’s doing well. - He’s just a sad guy sometimes. - He’s a lost soul. - That is for sure. - But we do our best by him. - I love him so much. I never thought I was a dog person. But I was a dog person or became one. - You’re like an animal person anyway. I’m not. Animals are not people.
