Jan. 28, 2007 It was a short report: “Kerry Blasts Foreign Policy, Says U.S. Has Become 'International Pariah', Sunday , January 28, 2007 (no byline, AP), which began: “Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry slammed the foreign policy of the Bush administration on Saturday, saying it has caused the United States to become "a sort of international pariah." John (Unfit for Command) Kerry went to Switzerland to attend some sort of anti-American panel full of current and former enemies of America . It was just the sort of meeting you might find the “ Massachusetts ” senator attending. John Kerry looks for every opportunity to work face time while beating his anti-American shtick to any crowd that can stay awake long enough to hear it. From the article: “The statement came as the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee responded to a question about whether the U.S. government had failed to adequately engage Iran's government before the election of hard-liner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in 2005. Kerry said the Bush administration has failed to adequately address a number of foreign policy issues.” Forgetting to remind his questioners that the United States does not negotiate or necessarily have diplomatic relations with terrorist states like Iran; Kerry instead agreed with the premise of the question and answered it into the realm of the “well beyond” what was asked. Oh, and using the term “hard-liner” to describe Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is to minimize the fact of his penchant for terrorism and desire for nuclear confrontation. Kerry is quoted: “"When we walk away from global warming, Kyoto , when we are irresponsibly slow in moving toward AIDS in Africa , when we don't advance and live up to our own rhetoric and standards, we set a terrible message of duplicity and hypocrisy," Kerry said.” I don’t know of anyone who can “walk away from global warming”. After all, it is global. But I see Kerry’s point. He suggests by his comment that America, signing on to Kyoto would have solved all the world’s woes concerning global warming when it would have had no effect whatsoever other than to take the financial burden off the back of Communist China and placed it square on the shoulders of America! The “WE” who are “irresponsibly slow in moving towards AIDS in Africa ” must be the democrats that follow Kerry’s line of reasoning. It was the Republican President who denoted $15 billion in aid to Africa for the AIDS problem there. There hasn’t been any equally generous offering of assistance to that continent, nor have other countries streamed in health care professionals to ease the AIDS burden of Africa . Most all assistance has been sourced out of America . Kerry knows this, but that would be good news. It doesn’t fit his template of the evil, rotten, horrible and imperialistic America Kerry decries. The “we don't advance and live up to our own rhetoric and standards…and the “we [who] set a terrible message of duplicity and hypocrisy” stand on the left side of the American congress with their anti-war resolutions and their continual harping against the terrorist-fighting policies of the current administration. Kerry’s idea of protecting America is negotiation with Iran and Syria and asking them to pretty-please not blow up any more Americans. The President says America will take on and destroy America ’s enemies. John Kerry’s duplicitous and hypocritical left suggest appeasement and redeployment is the more appropriate response to terrorism. "So we have a crisis of confidence in the Middle East — in the world, really. [continued Kerry in complete and utter denial that democrats had anything to do with that] I've never seen our country as isolated, as much as a sort of international pariah for a number of reasons as it is today." And yet Kerry made not one single suggestion for improvement. He put down America again in the eyes of the world, as he did in North Vietnam , as he did in Nicaragua , and as he did recently in Syria . Just who does this guy represent? Is all Massachusetts this anti-American and anti-victory? Is John Kerry speaking with the voice of an entire state of the union that is calling America “a sort of international pariah”? Is it time for Kerry to move to France ? Further quoting the article: “Kerry said the government needs to use diplomacy to improve national security.”We need to do a better job of protecting our interests, because after all, that's what diplomacy is about," he said. "But you have to do it in a context of the reality, not your lens but the reality of those other cultures and histories." And we would have to ask why it is so important to accept the “context” of terrorists, the contexts of Communists, the contexts of dictators or socialists or the contexts of Iranian Mullahs? We properly understand that every country uses diplomacy for personal advantage to a point. There is a point where diplomatic effort fails. We have seen this diplomatic failure repeatedly against Iran and North Korea . Are we to accept their context then or do we continue to press forward “protecting our interests”? John Kerry suggests that the interests of others should outweigh the interests of America . We should consider their cultures, histories and context. From the article: “Kerry criticized what he called the "unfortunate habit" of Americans to see the world "exclusively through an American lens." According to Kerry, that Americans would use an American “lens” is an “unfortunate habit” Again, this is Kerry talking out of both sides of his brain at the same time. He states correctly that diplomacy should be used to protect American interests but suggests we should use diplomacy in context that places the interests of other nations before the interests of America . That is not in the interests of America . I’m sorry. The only other great news concerning Kerry this week was his declaration that he was not running for President in 2008. I am sure Daniel Ortega, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro were heartbroken over that bit of news. ------------ About the Author: Michael John McCrae has contributed over 700 articles to Useless-Knowledge.com.
