 By Ken Hughes Feb. 27, 2007 Global Warming is a theory we’re in a state of cretin demise if we don’t address global warming in the next few hours is preposterous. Tempters have fluctuated over the centuries and earth flourishes because of it. There are more holes in the theory of global warming than a brick of Swiss cheese. This isn’t Al’s first boo boo. Lets begin with Al Gore and his many claims of being first, none of which he can prove. Al didn’t invent the internet, he wasn’t the first to recognize the disastrous situation at Love Canal, Love Story wasn’t about he and Tipper, the list goes on. Al Gore has always been known to have a vivid imagination when getting his name out front regardless of who should have been credited. As always he’s quick to deny those things he screws up. Let’s take a logical look at some of the allegations the Greenies are putting out there to support their theory of global warming. 90% of the polar ice caps are below water. Antarctica is a land mass, the snows covering the continent isn’t sufficient to alter the oceans levels to any degree, If the 90 % of ice below the surface of the ocean melted in would simply fill the void the ice made. Snow melting on the various mountain ranges would be absorbed into the earth long before it ever reached the oceans. Any mathematician worth his / her salt can explain the theory of the earths make up, ice v water v landmass, water wins by a landslide. Earth is forever evolving, in this world of instant gratification we may not have the patients to appreciate the changes earth makes. Every one of natures supposed disasters has a positive action benefiting earth. There were climate changes before man walked upright out of the sea and there will be climate changes when he walks head down back into the sea. I’ve been from the Artic Circle in the north to the Southern tip of Argentina in the south, from the Italian Alps to the Orient and I have yet to see any significant indications of global warming. What I have seen is a fluctuation in temperature much the same as I saw in my youth in the 1930’s. The old saying holds as true with temperatures as anything else,” What goes up must come down.” All the frog farts, pig manure and rotting garbage isn’t going to make a significant difference in the C02 levels in the atmosphere. American Industry has done an outstanding job and continues to do so reducing pollution in the atmosphere. If there is a worry it’s some of the rapidly expanding countries that don’t care squat about polluting the atmosphere. Remember the majority of the products we use are made with Petrol-Chemicals that come from a barrel of oil. Give up oil and you give up the good life. Al Gore has a rather dismal record of success in his life ant it doesn’t seem to be improving. Please Mr. Gore you and your hypocritical cabal get off our backs and give us a break. Give us credit for what we’ve done not hammer us for what we may not do in the future. Do us all a favor take your Oscar and go back to Tennessee and tend to your family’s tobacco crops.
