Dec. 2, 2007 I am so sick of the president and Republicans acting as if they know how to spend money any better than anyone else. They don't and, if one believes that they do, they also must believe in fairy tales and magic. The president, this week, called Democrats money wasters, essentially. Complaining that the alternative minimum tax tax forms were being printed, he explained that it was a waste of money because a tax bill wasn't passed yet. This is pathetic in the face of the sheer dollar amount we spend on wars, the military/industrial complex and pet projects we are forced to deal with. It is tantamount to barking up the wrong tree. But our president, ever the megaphone he is, tries to use what little vocabulary the other chimps taught him, tries to talk to his base and assure them that it could only be the fault of the Democrats. In fact, I am wondering if the microscope has ever been turned on Republicans. Democrats do it all the time. They sabotage their own leaders and candidates all the time in an effort to find the truth in matters. That is why the party tends to lose more elections, lately, than win. Republicans, on the other hand, make up this pretend character that they all try to emulate only to fall on their sword time and again. Even the best Republican fails in my eyes when they say all the right things up until being loyal to the party. So, in other words, they trump any and everything, morals, ethics, because without being loyal, well that's just plain wrong... right? I am so sick of the president. He gets to he in office unscathed, saying and doing what n president should either say or do, all the while his predecessor was impeached over lying about having sex. No one died, at least not directly, from Bill Clinton and his sex having. Bush likes the idea of being a war president and over 3,000 people are dead. Bush likes helping out his other rich buddies and some families don't get to move forward with their dreams because their house no longer is affordable. Heck, eating is no longer affordable for some. As we move ever closer to getting rid of this president, end of his term or otherwise, I hope we all learn a lesson: Don't elect someone based on their drinking buddy status, as some jackasses did (You know who you are, Sportsmen for Bush). Elect someone articulate, someone who wants to actually listen to people, not worry about loyalty.
