Ever since taking office in 2000 it seems George W. Bush has isolated the

United States

from the remainder of the world and separated us from long standing allies. George W. Bush has taken a hard line and used bullying tactics against all things that differ from his ideal world including setting forth a war that cannot be won with military mite. George W. Bush has resorted to using ugly adjectives to describe and single out leaders in other countries, i.e. Axis of Evil. George W. Bush has taken childish behavior, lies, and distortions to new levels, but this is not what true leadership is or should be.

Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) said that if elected President of the United States she would put her husbands’ special skills to work as an Ambassador of Goodwill. Furthermore, Hillary Clinton said that we, the people of the United States, need someone who can work together with other nations instead of segregating us from them and vice versa. This special quality would be the single most important task of our new Ambassador of Goodwill and a task that former President Bill Clinton is more than up to performing.

It may be a larger undertaking than anticipated when Mrs. Clinton, if elected, sets about reeling in our long forgotten and segregated allies, but her choice in using an Ambassador of Goodwill is excellent. Former President Bill Clinton has a close relationship, keen understanding, and mutual respect, with and for, other world leaders. Bill Clinton genuinely loves and cares about other people and that love shines through in his actions. He has worked closely with nations around the globe since he left the oval office in 2000. President Clintons’ foundation, Clinton Global Foundation, has made more than 570 promises worldwide, 100 promises have come to fruition as of April 2007. He has garnered over 1000 people in 100 countries to come together and work to fight pandemics, poverty, climate change and more. To date the Clinton Global Foundation has invested over $10 Billion dollars to make good on those promises. President Clinton does not speak words without careful thought about what those words belie. He does not make promises he cannot keep unlike our current leadership.

If anyone can smooth over the worlds warts and ill feelings caused by the caustic verbiage and ill thought actions of George W. Bush it is President Bill Clinton. A vote in 2008 for Senator Hillary Clinton can ensure that America is getting back on track and looking at a brighter and safer future for all the people of the world. A world where peace can reign supreme! Give Senator Clinton the tools she needs to succeed by voting for her in 2008!

About the author: Michelle Malsbury was born and raised in Champaign, Illinois. Currently she resides in Florida. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a Masters Degree in Business Management. She has just been accepted into Doctoral College and will begin that three year journey in the fall of 2006. She enjoys outdoor activities like sailing, water-skiing, hiking, bike riding, working out, and fishing as well as reading, music, theatre, playing with her two amusing pets (Abu Chez, her 7.5 year old Australian Blue Heeler and Zack, her three year old yellow tabby cat) and writing.
