A Call to Arms (Or "Why The World Sucks")

By L.J. Chapman

Passion. It's the only key to changing the world. And its the only thing the world really lacks.

We as human beings have entered a second Dark Ages. We are a world at war. Torm by religion, politics, money, and power. We have entered a time lacking in meaningful music and passionate art. Movies, which a few years ago captured the attention and awe of the world, are now just a bunch of uninispired pieces of film we pay nine dollars to see.

The world lacks passion. Passion in the planet, the arts, politics, and mankind.

Tell me where are the people that stood together for a change, crying "REVOLUTION" in the streets? Where are the films that brought tears, laughter, fear, and applause? Where is the music and poetry that once brought deep thought and love?

The world around is now is nothing more than a bunch of fake, plastic people living fake, plastic lives, no longer caring for what's going on in the world. No longer caring for each other?

Gone are the days of inspiration and awe. We are now just a world full of people more concerned with Anna Nicole and Lindsey Lohan than we are about our own children being killed in wars in countries that we, ourselves, have never been.

Shame on a people who live such meaningless, uninformed exsistances. Too apathetic or lazy, scared, or bored to stand up in any way.

The world around you is dying, ending it's own exsistance, while we all just sit around and let the "people in charge" lead us to the slaughter.

It's time to stand up. It's time for a change. It's time to say no more. "REVOLUTION", I say.
