Apr. 15, 2007 ----Experimental writing is nothing new. It is something you can try
on a Saturday afternoon even if you don’t have the flu.
There are many different types of experimental writing and you
can also
make up yer own. If you do
experimental
writing you might offend or at least irritate peoples’ sensibilities
because
there is a way of doing things that we accept and
agree on more than we realize for the most part.
Also, there are
many types of people in the world. There are two camps, for
instance, that I have noticed. There are real world everyday people
types on the one hand. On the other hand, there are artsy fartsy
types. Both network, in their own way and time.
Both groups have
things to offer. Some persons are in neither group and
straddle two worlds, not feeling very comfortable in
either. No worries though, because someone once said that
nobody is really either a head or
a hand or
a hand or a head
but that people are a mixture of both. It’s
about nuance, or
allowing for many aspects. I have only two hands.
There is
also
something called cut-up method writing where a person
puts together different writings and sees what the sentences
say. Maybe there is one universal mind or something
like that. Experimental writing is nothing new----
