 By Ken Hughes Apr. 5, 2007 There’s a force of over zealous right_wing nuts calling for President Bush to invade Iran. There’s an even larger group of left_wing nuts chastising the president for not doing something [nonviolent] to control Iran. There are those in the middle who wonder what can be done if anything about Iran. Military action is out of the question, diplomacy isn’t going to impress the Iranians. UN sanctions don’t seem to be working. There isn’t much left to quail the Iranian ambitions for Middle East domination, or as one Iranian recently e-mailed me “To restore the glory of the Persian Empire.” For those of us who’ve had dealing in the Middle East know agreements aren’t worth the parchment they’re written on. Islam is a religion of subrogation of the masses repressive religions restrict the ingenuity of the individual. When where and what has the Muslim world contributed to the advancement mankind in the past 17 hundred years? They haven’t contributed a thing but oil and they only barter oil aside from oil nothing. Given the political atmosphere in America Bush could bomb Israel and it wouldn’t satisfy either the Muslims or the Democrats. These Liberal, [I’m reluctant to use the word American] terrorist sympathizers will accept nothing less than total defeat in America’s war on terror. Democrats are a party gone mad with power, like caged Lyons they crave red meat and that red meat is George Bush. The constitution gives congress equal authority with the executive branch it doesn’t give Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid equal authority with the president. It doesn’t make Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid the ultimate authority in the houses of congress. The Majority Leader in the Senate and the Speaker of the House are there to maintain order, [they’re gavel thumpers nothing more.] 435 members of congress should be making the rules not one little over zealous egomaniacal woman who fancies her self president and a midget from Nevada known to his friends and collogues as Harry “Pinky” Reid. I would have chosen Pinko Reid had it been me choosing nicknames. The peoples of the world don’t hate Americans a United States citizenship is the most sought after document in the entire world. What other countries hate is the hypocrisy of all governments. The world hates America’s international politics not Americans personally. When John McCain says he wants to restore Americas image in the world perhaps he should start with the American congress and work from there. If we are to restore America’s image in the world then we need new image makers, what better place too start than both houses of congress? The hostility against President Bush is unwarranted other presidents have officiated over far more offensive acts than Bush, Franklin D. Roosevelt interned and entire ethnic group of American citizens then sent their sons to fight and die in a war their parents were blamed for starting. Harry Truman set the atomic age into action. Andrew Jackson inflicted genocide on the Native Americans by moving them from their homes by way of the trail of tears. At the behest of Bill Clinton A.J. Janet Reno ordered the murder an entire religious sect in Waco Texas. Each infraction liberals accuse Bush of committing have been pre-approved by a majority of congress. Many in the congress would be tried for treason in other times under other presidents. Some where after the end of WW II a decision was made to redefine what America stood for and what would be acceptable behavior in the future. A new language was created to redefine acceptable behavior, the problem was the names changed the behavior didn’t as a matter of fact it became more aggressive with each new generation. Treason became politics gangsters, thugs etc. became freedom fighters. The world has become a place with no personal accountability, the good guys are viewed as being evil and the bad guys are viewed as Saints. I have faith this to will change man as a greater capacity for good than evil it’s been proven many times in the past. Just when we think the lights of good and hope is being turned off someone steps out of the darkness and rekindles mans hope for the future and the lights of freedom shine brightly once more.
