Solutions For The Middle-East

By Michelle Malsbury
Sept. 26, 2006

While the Bush administration points fingers, never accepts responsibility for their misadventures nor seeks corrections to them, and paradoxically feels they are finding success in their failing war in the middle-east some of us, who are realistic, are conjuring up solutions to this conundrum. The 9/11 Commission Report has spotlighted how off base this administration is with their war in Iraq . They, the 9/11 commission, made many recommendations and observations that this administration merely closed their eyes to. Bush and his cronies moved forward with a war that was not only unnecessary and costly, but has made the entire world less safe.

When confronted with other nations wishes to come together and speak about what can be done to rectify this situation Bush's reply is that he will not talk. He will have things his way or no way at all. This pigheaded stance has cost us a number of allies and countless cooperation from neighboring nations who can only benefit from peace talks.

What this administration needs is a huge dose of diplomacy. Diplomacy helps to foster cooperation. There are several ways to garner cooperation. At the top of the list is the willingness and ability to educate those that you want to get to cooperate. Tell them why you need their help. (Why we need to work toward peace and stability for the Middle-East) Develop a vision and strategy. (Ask the right questions and listen to the responses. Create a road map for goal achievement. Set realistic timeframes. Find a way to measure your results. Have contingency plans. Be prepared for changes along the way.) This takes thoughtful and honest communication from all involved parties. Show your followers how they fit into the big picture and get them involved, participating, and working in the same direction to achieve your goals and theirs.(Make this a win-win situation for all by providing a clear direction and vision) Provide them with the tools and support to get the job done. (Compassionate, capable people who can help these countries rebuild politically and economically) Help them to generate short term wins and reward their progress.

Stop the killing, bring our troops home, and be centered on peace! The entire Bush administration finds peace a real threat to their fear factory. Their policy is to keep the people of the United States and the world running scared while they do as they please in the Middle-East. We have had enough of their fear mongering to last a lifetime. It is time we hold them accountable for this folly. It is time we stop the name calling that is their only reply to our cries for peace in the Middle-East. People who want peace are not soft on terror and not aiding and abetting the terrorists as this administration purports. We are realistic people who see the futility in this war on terror and can see that it has only ignited more tension in that area of the world than quelled it. We can see the holes in their excuses fabricated to continue in this vein and demand that our congress take immediate action to stifle them. We have united under the express desire for swift change within our government. This administration is dangerous and if left unattended will cause more death and destruction. The time to act is now! We must call upon congress to move toward impeachment of Bush and his entire administration before they truly cause a WWIII! Do your part and act now. Call or write your local/state congress people and state representatives. Tell them, we the people, demand immediate action. Time is of the essence.
