Keyeswatch And Other Arcane U-K Pursuits

By John L. Waters
Sept. 8, 2006

The factual reporter, ex-engineer, skeptic, and U-K columnist Thomas Keyes is irritated by other U-K columnists writing articles pertaining to an alleged psychic, paranormal, yogic, hyper-dimensional, transcendental, and extrasensory flim-flam realm. In fact Mr. Keyes has recently written an article advising all real or wannabe U-K extrasensory supernaturals to "put up or shut up." Well, I'm the "yogic force" man and I'm still writing for U-K.

I admit that for a psychic who calls himself/herself "Serenissimus Petrus, The World’s Greatest Psychic" to write an article claiming to be the greatest psychic in the world is offensive to psychics as well as to the skeptics of whom there are many. Thomas Keyes is but one such skeptic. I make no claims to being more psychic or more supernatural than someone else. Moreover, like Mr. Keyes, I have made predictions which didn't come true. In fact, in this article I do not want to make any unusual claims about myself. I merely can report what certain other persons have reported when they are in the presence of me, or when they have been in the presence of some other person who has received shaktipat. Shaktipat is what a spiritual master projects into a disciple that makes the disciple feel heavenly, unified, glorified, and put in touch with so-called Godhead or Atman. Bringer of so-called "cosmic consciousness, the Atman is the soul, psyche, or psychic field of the universe. From that word the Hindu vocabulary explodes in diversity. The psychic field of everything is part of the spiritual master's personal psychic field or aura.

Aura? What's that, you ask. Well, "aura" is just a word for a certain effect that sensitive people see, or feel, or otherwise sense about a special place or a special person. Some people are more sensitive in this "auric" presence than others. If skeptics doubt that this "auric" sense is valid, this may be simply because they haven't ever learned how to be more sensitive, or maybe they were born insensitive and they can't become any more sensitive. Maybe they are "tone deaf" or "color blind" to auras so-to-speak. This possibility does exist. Even skeptics with a 150 or higher IQ need to be humble. Talents differ.

I can report what other people have said. That is not making a claim about myself having "yogic force" or any other kind of potency. It is someone else's report, not mine.

Anyone is free to come visit me, or to go and visit some other teacher. I do not charge any money to talk with a visitor and otherwise interact with a visitor. I can take a visitor to a good spot where they can experiment and explore with sensing the sense that others have sensed in a sensitive person whose sense of this sense is very keen. I expect a practicing meditator to sense more than a person who has never studied meditation.

What to call this unitive sense? In past articles I've called it "yogic force" because Swami Rudrananda called it "yogic force" and Franklin Jones aka Adi Da called it "yogic force" and quite a lot of other people have a sense of what "yogic force" is. If I call this sense some other name, well, that just brings other people out and they talk about their "od" or their "odyle," or their "orgone" or some other more or less "hallucinated" sense or extra sense. There are many names for this "extra" sense. Part of my research has to do with refining our understanding of the "extra" sense so that more people can study the "extra" sense and cultivate it in themselves. It appears to lower blood pressure and have other health benefits. Control of this "extra" sense reduces the harmful side effects including making off-the-cuff "psychic" predictions which do not come true.

Mr. Keyes wants to stick to facts, and he is good with facts. But when I report that Swami Rudrananda calls this unitive sense "yogic force," that is a fact more correct than the speed of light is 186,000 miles a second. I simply report 100% the phrase that Rudrananda taught as reported by Franklin Jones in his book "The Knee of Listening." I doubt that the speed of light is exactly 186,000 miles per second as many textbooks report! But let's not argue about that. There are plenty of other things we can argue about. However, when folks are sensing the unitive sense very strongly together they do not sense any animosity. They do not feel like fighting, even with words!

To those persons who are not blind to it, the recognized masters Rudrananda, Muktananda, Adi Da, Gangaji, Mother Meera, and many other spiritual masters show or showed what Dr. Richard Maurice Bucke called "subjective light." People sense in these teachers the psychic field of everything and some call this "cosmic consciousness" or "God."

For more information, consult Dr. Bucke's book, entitled sensibly enough Cosmic Consciousness.
