 By Argile Stox Oct. 22, 2006 Will someone in our Federal Government stand before the American people and simply state – in no uncertain terms, that the United States of America has failed in its attempt to bring Democracy & Religious decentralization to the people of Iraq? Many countries in the recent past have placed their tails between their legs and have admitted what seemed like a good idea at the time – turned out to be a national disaster and disgrace. The French finally realized that there was no way that they were going to demoralize and eradicate North Vietnam from over-running South Vietnam. Then, the United States, after over fifty-five thousand dead – came to the same conclusion, abandoned any hope of repelling a massive North Vietnam onslaught, simply gave up and left the country. South Vietnam fell; and now – the United States is trying to open trade relations with Vietnam . The Russians learned the hard way in Afghanistan . The war was bankrupting the coffers of the Russian elite. The Russians left Afghanistan – and the country was left to rule it selves. After a short period, the Taliban rose to power and shifted that country back to the fourteenth century. The World was shocked as reports trickled in that women were being stoned; their genitals were being disfigured on a daily basis, and women could not be educated. In steps the United States of America . There has not been that much Media coverage concerning Afghanistan . Could there be a government imposed “News Blackout” regarding the State of Affairs in Afghanistan ? If there are successes in that country – make the American people aware of them. If there are failures in that country, Americans need to be educated about that as well. It is this writer’s opinion – and only this writer’s opinion, that the United States of America must immediately stop all operations in Iraq , and bring our brave warriors home. If you really stop to think about it – the average American soldier is a sitting duck, just waiting to be picked off by random sniper fire that are supplied in great numbers to Iraq by Iran. The roads that lead into Iraq that are continually being peppered by IED’s (Improvised Explosive Devices) – ripping apart our under-armored Humvies; maiming and killing all of our Volunteer Army; under the watchful eyes of our video equipped drones which fly around Iraq 24-7-365. That is right! Our all Volunteer Army are being slaughtered daily right before the two, three, and four star General’s eyes. This writer has a plan to end all the killing, suffering, pain, and misery which was instituted by faulty intelligence and war mongering industrialists that have profited (been paid with the blood and guts of our military). The plan is very simple. The United States of America must CUT & RUN! Iraq is a country that is in the grip of antiquated religious beliefs, laws, War Lords, and fanaticism – that the population does not know how to mitigate democracy and maintain it. Allow Iraq to have its Civil War. Allow the mentally ill clerics kill off their followers. The Cleric who has the most mentally ill followers - who are still standing – WINS! It is as simple as that. As time marches on, the population will conclude that the Clerics are the individuals who are profiting from food, shelter, and fuel shortages. The Russian people, after seventy some odd years – finally learned the truth about their government. It will not take too long for the population of Iraq to figure this one out. Soon, the population of North Korea is going to learn that – while people are starving and dying in the streets (like Russia ) their beloved leader, was living high on the hog. Let Iraq Fall! Allow all the opposing sectarian clerics and their followers fight it out among themselves. The only way for the conflict in Iraq to end, is to have the clerics God’s fight it out and bring peace to the land. The United Nations should allow the population of Iraq see how hollow their God’s are – just as the Pharaoh realized – which lead to the freeing of the Jewish Slaves.
