This Week In Liberal (Democratic) Sports

By Michael John McCrae
Oct. 13, 2006

This week in the liberal Democratic sport of Hockey several “slap” shots were fired at the President of the United States for his inaction against North Korea . Earlier, Rodeo sport fans were condemning the President for his “Cowboy” diplomacy and now it seems those same condemners are calling the President a wimp for not pulling his “six-shooter” against the nefarious idiots of Pyongyang . Go figure.

This week in the liberal Democratic sport of Auto Racing it has been a race to see if Dennis Hastert resigns before Harry Reid. Coming around the far turn Harry Reid seems to be catching up to Dennis in the resignation race for his recently unrevealed “windfall profit” for a “shady” land deal with a known “mobster”.

This week in the Liberal Democratic sport Boxing the former (now resigned) Representative Tom Foley took several on the chin before being “out for the count”. Liberals are still trying to fight in a ring that has been vacated by the rascally, Priest abused, alcoholic and homosexual former politician, but they are largely throwing ineffective “roundhouses” at the sky. Tom Foley has “left the building”.

This week in the liberal Democratic sport of Baseball Teddy Kennedy and the rest of the Kennedy clan are still “high and tight”. The whole clan is suspected of being on “steroids” and “growth hormones” as their heads are seemingly growing larger every day. This holds true for Nancy Pelosi’s ego too. But many feel the extremely thin and frail Nancy is simply using Cocaine.

This week in the liberal Democratic sport of Football all the hype looking to a confrontation between the Cowboy’s T.O. character and the Eagles’ main man Donovan McNabb came to naught as T.O caught all of 3 passes for 45 yards and Donovan McNabb only mentioned Rush Limbaugh 16 times in his post-game remarks to the press.

This week in the liberal Democratic sport of Basketball liberals were incensed over a political campaign add spoofing Madeline Albright’s 1994 visit to Kim Jong Il to give him a present of a Basketball, several nuclear reactors and enough plutonium to destroy a medium-sized democracy for a promise (he broke 10 seconds after Albright left his home) he’d withhold all nuclear weapons development until someone else (or any Republican) was elected to office. The Basketball commissioner labeled the campaign “guilt by association”.

This week in the liberal Democratic sport of Women’s Volleyball, Susan Estrich popped a return shot of Ann Coulter’s latest serve. Susan not only stole the cover art of Ann’s book “Godless” but she plagiarized half the title, calling hers “Soulless”. Susan even borrowed Ann’s dress and had her hair colored to that equal to Ann’s. Ann’s response to this liberal exercise in copy-cat-ism has me in suspense; looking to the “match point”.

This week in the liberal Democratic sport of Poker the need-to-cheat-to-win liberals have pulled out every card from every sleeve. The Republicans are playing straight “ Texas Hold-em”; relying on the Presidential Texan to keep on point with the economy and the war against terrorism. The liberal Democrats have been all over the spectrum; saying they supported the missile defense shield (they did not) and that they (according to Ned Lamont) would support an attack against Iran (which they won’t); and they want President Bush to run away from a pack of rangy, rag-wearing, pseudo-religious, Islamic, cave-dwelling, camel-eating, infidel-beheading, Muslim skuzzy-balls; leaving Iraq to fend for itself.

This week in the liberal Democratic sport of Horse Racing all bets were on the economy to finish last. But the DOW has broken several records on the way to 12,000, unemployment rates remain low, home sales remain high and all the leading economic indicators are in good shape. In the world of “win, place and show” the American economy is doing all three at once. Democrats are hoping Republicans aren’t paying attention to prosperity and are more concerned with homosexual emails.

And finally, this week in the liberal Democratic sport of Extreme Sports the extremist Charles Rangel failed to get his facts straight when talking of the World Trade Center terrorist attack of September, 11th, 2001. Quoting from the Rush Limbaugh website the extreme leftist, Rangel is responding to a Neil Cavuto query: “RANGEL: I thank God that it was not a terrorist attack. Having been in New York , uh, on that Tuesday, September the 9th [sic], uh, I thought that was an accident.”

The only “accident” in that incident is Representative Rangel. And that’s this week in liberal Democratic sports!
