Oct. 8, 2006 “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:40 It may be true that I personally cannot move mountains with my faith……yet. But there will be that day when the Lord returns with me at his side to establish his kingdom on the earth. That will be the day the full powers of the believers will be expressed. That is the day the “rod of iron” will rule from Jerusalem; calling all men who survived the tribulation to turn to the King of Kings. The key aspect of “the will of God” is salvation. It is through faith in the Son of God that eternal life is affected in the individual. This has been the will of God from the beginning. A sincere belief and trust in the Creator is what Jesus spoke of when he said that even should a man physically die, he would live. What is meant by “seeing” the Son? Faith is a truly amazing gift from God. One minute you are unaware of God; you are unaware of the Spirit; you are unaware of life. The moment of conversion is an awakening. You know the difference in self immediately. You have suddenly entered into life from the darkness of death and it is a tangible knowledge. It is knowledge of change. The scripture above talks of “the last day”. That last day is the last day of gifts. That is the last day before the individual will know for certain that all the Prophets have spoken is real. That is the last day before God sends the strong delusion that the procrastinators, scoffers, stoics and atheists will ignore the coming tribulation to believe the lies of Satan. That is the last day of opportunity for faith without sight. From that moment on men will come to God the hard way. They will suffer through the tribulation and they will face the choice of physical death through martyrdom or acceptance of the rule of the Beast and the False Prophet. Millions will accept the “Mark of the Beast” in hope of avoiding suffering. The scriptures declare that millions will believe. There will be millions who will accept the words of those God seals and protects as preachers throughout the tribulation period. Their message will be a simple one telling the people to hang on for seven, six, five, and four years, down to the last month until the return of Jesus from the heavens. These preachers will know because they will have had the starting point of the catching away of the True Church. They will also have the seal of God on their body, identifying them as a preacher of truth. It is probably not a very smart thing to wait until the last day to express belief in Jesus. The scriptures explain that “now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation”. Now is always….now. But the scoffers shall scoff and ask their questions of vanity. The secure will remain secure and unconcerned; contented that they have realized truth and believed on the Son. “Seeing” the Son is what the doubter Thomas declared he had to do before he would believe in the resurrection. When challenged by his risen Lord he exclaimed he did not have to physically reach into the spear-made gash in the Lord’s side to believe what he was then witnessing. Too many times it has been said to me that: “If I could only see!” that belief would immediately follow. I understand that “seeing” just isn’t necessary to factually knowing God. God can be accepted at his word. So Jesus says: “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” I will take God at his word. ------------ Email Skip: skiptoomaloo@hotmail.com Comment on this article here! ------------ All articles are EXCLUSIVE to Useless-Knowledge.com.
