Nov. 27, 2006 Last July a fellow named Naveed Afzal Haq “forced his way” into a Seattle , Washington Jewish center and committed a hate crime against a group of helpless women. Haq declared: “I am a Muslim American, angry at Israel …” and then began shooting with “two semiautomatic pistols” killing one woman and wounding five others. (The NRA had no comment because the pistols were legally owned. The NOW had no comment because none of the women were members of NOW. And no Muslim group commented because they were satisfied that killing Jewish women was a justifiable action upon becoming “angry at Israel ”). Haq has been awaiting trial since the incident. Bail was set at $50 million dollars. Speaking to an “emergency services dispatcher” during the incident Haq was recorded saying: “These are Jews, and I’m tired of getting pushed around and our people getting pushed around by the situation in the Middle East .” So instead of buying a ticket to Palestine to help “his people” he decided that killing American Jewish women would better serve his anger. It is supposed Haq was referring to the Israeli defense against Hezbollah attacks from Lebanon and the concurrent Hamas attacks against Israel from Gaza . Haq was apparently upset that Israel was once again successfully defending herself against Arab Terrorism and aggression. It doesn’t seem to matter where Jewish people live. They are in continual danger from Muslim extremism and even Muslim Americans. To be honest, anti-Semites come in all sizes and shapes both religious and non-religious in personal standing. One would wonder why the extremism against one of the world’s smallest countries? Israel gets smaller every time someone wants to formulate another peace treaty. Terrorists are always ready to steal more Jewish land for empty promises of peace. Peace only really comes after Israel is forced into a defense that always manages to kick the terrorists in the teeth. Another point is that Naveed Haq is not an aberration. He is typical. It takes nothing to set Muslims against Jews. Any pretext is instant permission to fire rockets or strap on belts laden with explosives. Israel has tried everything to stay peaceful. They’ve given up territory. They’ve arrested and detained hundreds of terrorists. They’ve negotiated. They’ve reassured. They’ve even brought Arabs into their own government. All for naught! Iran threatens while their militant arm Hezbollah attacks. Syria supports with arms and pretends neutrality while assassinating those speaking against Syrian aggression. Palestinians elect known terrorists to government positions; the terrorists accept that as a mandate to kill more Jews and continually fire rockets into Israel . The world’s media condemns Israel when they defend themselves against the repeated attacks. I read part of a front page opinion piece from the “Arab Times” entitled: “The absence of U.S. leadership”. (Now the new mantra of Muslim countries). One quote will tell you quickly that no Muslim accepts responsibility for their own terrorist activity, quote: “The chaos in Iraq , Lebanon , Iran and Palestine is entirely due to the mistake of the United States .” That kind of thinking might be termed “lunacy”, but on the front page of this morning’s “Stars and Stripes” that “mistake” mantra with its accompanying page three story is now all the Muslim rage! Fortunately CAIR hasn’t yet paid the $50 million to get Naveed Afzal Haq out of jail. Of course he has been called “bi-polar” and will probably mount an “insanity” defense. He is also “baptized” which probably has thrown the entire radicalized Islamic community into a major tizzy! Do you praise Haq as a martyr and hero for killing Jews or condemn him as an infidel for falling prey to Christian Baptism? It is reported he only went to mosque on holidays – so it is a tough call for the radical fundamentalist Islamic community. I can just picture the ACLU getting a hold on this and blaming the Christian Baptism for sending Haq over the edge while giving his actual recorded declarations the short shrift.
