Nov. 13, 2006 The culprits were caught. The trials were completed. The punishments were metered out and I am still seeing stories about Abu Gharib as if there is some way to implicate President Bush in all the wrongdoing. The culprits get five Islamic meals a day, a new Koran and a compass to point their terrorist noses toward Mecca and I m still seeing stories about the terrible tortures terrorists face at the hand of their Nazi-like American captors. I am still seeing stories about how President Bush has stripped these foreign-born killers of women and children of their American-guaranteed constitutional rights! Since when does being captured in the act of killing Americans grant someone American citizenship? I thought you first had to be a Taliban leader with sponsorship to Yale by CBS broadcasting before taking the oath of citizenship? The culprit was caught and the 90 thousand dollars in his freezer was confiscated (probably to Ted Kennedy’s footlocker) but I’m not hearing much about the wily and crooked Democrat Representative William Jefferson of Louisiana . The culprit was caught (again) and the shady land deals were (again) attributed to minor administrative oversights that allowed Harry Reid to escape justice for tax evasion (again), but I’m not seeing much about that either. For all the Democratic corruption that democrats have been permitted to apologize for from the time Ted Kennedy killed a girl in a drunken driving spree; for all the lies and forged documents against a sitting President; repeatedly called a liar and a devil; for all the smut thrown at Republican lawmakers concerning adultery of all things! (Bill Clinton/Lewinsky, stained dress ring any bells???); liberals should be ashamed of the way they’ve conducted their election campaigns. Where are their issues? Where is any idealism that leads to trust? Where are the kept promises of utopia that Americans heard for 40 years and Louisianans have heard for 60-plus years under the Democrats? What is CNN anymore but that small, shrill voice of Clintonesque, socialistic insanity? What of MSNBC and ABC, NBC, CBS and PBS? Together these liberal outlets scar the American psyche with all manner of liberal puke from dire warnings of global warming to new “proofs” of evolutionary progression; while warning against the evils of Christianity, the display of the Ten Commandments and the word “God” in America ’s pledge and on American currency. Someone try to explain even one redeeming feature of liberalism…: Permitting illegal immigration through amnesty? The NEA’s multicultural propaganda campaign? The ACLU’s continual battles for “gay rights” and even greater battles against Christian speech and religious displays? Abortion? Bill Clinton getting $100,000 for speeches filled with nothing but socialistic gibberish? Running away from enemies? Handing nuclear technology to North Korea ? Jimmy Carter? Sucking up to Chavez or Ahmadinejad? The only redeeming feature of liberalism I see is that it is still in the minority. The right had better remember something; because the squeaky wheel eventually gets grease and the left sure squeaks a lot! They will squeak louder and louder as 2008 approaches. Maybe the right will dodge a major bullet in 2006, but complacency in politics is not a virtue; it is a death blow! Tell the liberals to go pound sand! Tell the liberals to take college courses in conservative logic. Tell liberals to shut up if they don’t get it. Tell liberals to move to France .
