Nov. 9, 2006 “We did it!” they’re saying over wine and cheese across America. “We duped the Great Unwashed with our lies and distortion again – who says the Mainstream Media is dead!! Long Live the Liars!” Does any intelligent person in America truly believe that given an unbiased media the Democratic Party could win more than 40% of the Congressional seats? They’d be lucky to get that much. I truly don’t know why Americans are so gullible. Why they can’t look at a headline and see the exaggeration and know they are being manipulated. True, it takes more sense to dissect the entire article to ferret out any bit of truth among the garbage, but it appears that the vast majority of Americans do not even read the articles. They might read a headline, but most probably only listen to the TV sound byte version of the news, and look at the pretty Photoshop-ed pictures, for the entirety of their understanding of the world. I know; I’m married to one. I do give her credit for not voting yesterday. She said that she just didn’t know enough about the issues to make an informed choice. If only the rest of the uninformed Americans had her intelligence and integrity. Imagine a country where voters actually had to be informed to vote. What a concept – the important decisions facing our country are left to those who understand the issues and the ramifications of their decisions. It works so well in any other situation – successful businesses, professional sports teams, even charitable organizations always have their important decisions made only by those who understand their industry and markets. When the owner/president of a company does not understand those things, we see the result because the business fails – just as America did yesterday. Professional sports teams rarely let the athletes manage, and only a select few of the thousands of athletes in each sport ever become a manager. Even rarer is the former athlete who becomes the General Manager or Owner of a team. Yet, in America, we let the players on the other team (the MSM) decide what play our team runs, who we trade or sign, even the color of our uniforms. It’s insane. I have to agree with the rest of the world on this one – Americans are stupid. How many Americans could pick out Iraq on a map? How many could name the countries that border Iraq? How many can identify the major forces at work destabilizing the region, their motivations, and their history? How many know the sources of finance of these factions? The answer to each of those questions is “very few.” If they know none of these things, what is the basis of their opinion towards America’s policies in the region? The answer is the media – that largely liberal media that has screamed continuously for the last 6 years about the evil administration. Yet, nowhere in those screams have there been any alternative solutions. Nor even in-depth analysis. The entirety of the MSM’s rant for 6 years has been “Bush is bad, Bush is bad, Bush is bad.” And Americans sucked it up like a retard listening to Muzak in his padded cell. TP: “Mr./Mrs. Voter, why did you vote for Democrats?” Idiots: “Because of the war.” TP: “And what do you think voting for Democrats is going to change about the war?” Idiots: “Uh…Uh…They’re going to get us out.” TP: “But Nancy Pelosi – since you don’t know, she’s the Democratic Leader in the House – said today that they plan to continue funding the war. That doesn’t sound like they’re going to get us out.” (BTW, I predicted as much months ago) Idiots: “Well, uh….uh…they’ll change the course, they’ll use a different strategy.” TP: “But Congress is not the Commander in Chief, the President is. They can only fund or not fund, they have no other impact on the war – and they’re saying they’re going to keep funding.” Idiots: “Well, uh…uh…something just had to change, I had to send a message.” TP: “Don’t you think you should have asked the Democrats what is was they were going to change? If you don’t like the Ford truck, do you just give your wallet to the Chevy dealer and tell him to fix you up? How can you vote for a party whose platform is “Don’t Ask, We Don’t Tell? If you wanted to send a message, why didn’t you vote for the Independents and Libertarians? At least they stated their position on the issues.” I’m ashamed to have idiots like that deciding the future of my children’s life. Another group that shouldn’t have the right to vote? Michael Savitch noted this the other night and I agree wholeheartedly: anyone receiving government assistance. If you are on welfare, Social Security disability payments, etc., you have a conflict of interest and should not be allowed to vote until you are off the dole. Does anyone seriously believe that a welfare recipient is not going to vote for anyone who promises to continue or increase his/her payments. Would a candidate that suggested any kind of welfare reform, etc., ever get their vote? No way. Those votes are literally bought and paid for with our tax dollars. Yes, the MSM media won this time. They convinced enough of the idiots to sway the election and we now have to hunker down and hope the world doesn’t implode. Crazy thing is that the terrorists actually use periods of Democratic control to strengthen themselves and infiltrate our security systems. We may not even see the results before sanity returns and the idiots see clearly enough to throw the Democrats back out. Just like during Clinton’s terms when the terrorists were taking flying lessons and hanging out in strip clubs. Listen closely, you can almost hear Bin Laden and a few billion Muslims laughing and loading their weapons.
