Guido Wever Was Released

Before I could figure out the correct spelling of Guido Wever's name he was released from custody in Holland.

Aruba continues to play their "Catch and release" game and it's business as usual on that Island.

I often wonder if Aruba really exists and if this whole thing is merely a bad dream that I can't wake up from. I can't ever remember reading about a place so full of idiots and incompetents. Do these people have any idea of what they are doing?

Will everyone on the Island eventually be arrested, charged, and then released? Is it safe for any young man of any race to reside or even visit Aruba?

What happens when they run out of people to arrest? Maybe they can start arresting each other?

I keep thinking of Australia when it was once an island where British prisoners were shipped off to. Maybe Aruba is The Netherland's version of Australia? Maybe they send people there for punishment and then they arrest them from time to time just to keep them on their toes.

Maybe Aruba is a figment of my imagination (I should be so lucky), and it's a place where Gilligan and Crew got stranded. Maybe no one is there at all or it's an episode from "The Twilight Zone"?

I could actually buy into those theories if it were not for the fact that a young woman went missing a year ago and I know for a fact that she once really existed. I can see what her disappearance has wrought so I have to believe that Aruba is real and not some evil Brigadoon that only appears every hundred years or so.

My wish is that Natalee Holloway was getting ready to finish her first year at college and that there was NO Aruba; no Dompig's or Renfro's or teenaged boys who like to be known as "Pimps" and who prey on tourists.

Unfortunately, that's one wish that I will never get and Natalee will never finish college or anything else because Aruba does exist.
