Popular Christian Techniques - A Fact Christians Ignore

Because Christians are incapable of responding when rational attacks are made against their baseless ideas and biblical fictions, they usually counter those attacks by calling the words of the challenger "lies", or by laughing to make the challenger seem less serious and credible. They do this all the time, during news programs, interviews, in books, and on television shows. Don't let their cheap tricks slip past you. Warn others of these tricks so they can be aware of them when they're being used.

When a Christian says they have "historical evidence" to support the bible, be sure to read in-between what they're saying. The story of Spider Man has just as much historical evidence as the bible. Just because the story of Spider Man takes place in a real city doesn't mean Spider Man is a real person. Israel is a real and historical place, and there is evidence for it. However, just because some of the stories in the bible take place there, and in other real places, doesn't mean those stories are true.

Biblical prophecy is also a joke. All they're doing is taking a quote from one part of the bible and comparing it to a quote in the same book, or wildly extrapolating from a vaguely written verse. "Wow! A prophecy has been fulfilled!" What a joke.

One thing many Christians choose to ignore is the fact everything they say, everything they believe, is based on an assumption. It is all based on the assumption that the bible was not tampered with, or tainted, by the opinions of men with agendas during its many revisions and edits over time. Even the validity of biblical prophecy is based on this assumption, since one needs to first believe the bible is true in order to believe things happened as the bible says they did.

One of the many things that made me question the bible as the word of god was the intolerance it preached. I didn't want to insult or isolate myself from many of the people I knew just because they didn't believe as I did. If there is a god, and if that god is a moral god, why would he condone the violence and intolerance some of the bible writers chose to add into the scripture?

What could stop a writer from adding his own corrupt views into a book? Nothing. We are beings with a free will. Bad things happen to good people and things because of the free will we have. We are also easily seduced by negative influences. The bible writers made some good and valid points about peace, love, and unity, many of which come through the words of Jesus. The parts about non-believers being "dogs", and how homosexuals should be killed damages the Bible's credibility. Even the laws of our governments are more tolerant, maturely worded, and just.

-----

And Christians wonder why we complain. It's because we're sick and tired of being insulted by the crap in their bibles, and by their ignorance. We are sick of our science and intelligence being held back by the myths of a book a psychotic few have chosen to take literally.

Stand up against the evils of Christianity and their leaders. Stand up for your rights as a human being.
