Mexico Is Going To Sue The United States!

By Michael John McCrae
May 18, 2006

Mexico says it will sue the United States if the American National Guard (you know, those guys that are supposed to be guarding the nation) lay a hand on illegal border invaders probably with the help of some ACLU puke.

The gall of Mexico is just a thing of beauty. It should make any liberal proud to call Mexico an ally in their fight to allow all illegal invaders their chance to smother any possibility of maintaining law and order on the southern borders of American states.

Apparently everyone sympathetic to invasion would prefer to see more border towns and villages become mirror images of “New Laredo”, Mexico (the town that cannot get takers for the job of police chief).

Mexico is going to sue America for trying to control lawbreaking and crime within its own borders and there is not one American legislator who will call or write or stand in the halls of Congress and tell Mexico where it can officially shove its threats.

I am officially fed up with the American Government.

This will be all talk and no action. In 1996 there was a signed bill that was supposed to boost the American Border Patrol by 9-12 thousand bodies. That never happened. The border was to be secured under the Democrats and the Bill, although tough sounding was never enforced. Quoting from Immigration Law Timeline: “1996 - Immigration Act. In an effort to curb illegal immigration, Congress votes to double the U.S. Border Patrol to 10,000 agents over five years and mandates the construction of fences at the most heavily trafficked areas of the U.S.-Mexico border. Congress also approves a pilot program to check the immigration status of job applicants.”

The bill had no teeth and no enforcement.

Part of that 1996 Bill also included: “1996 - Immigrants lose benefits. President Clinton signs welfare reform bill that cuts many social programs for immigrants. Legal immigrants lose their right to food stamps and Supplemental Security Income (a program for older, blind, and disabled people). Illegal immigrants become ineligible for virtually all federal and state benefits except emergency medical care, immunization programs, and disaster relief.”

There was no enforcement here either. This has been the play of American government for too long and now it is too late. We have been giving the big “bye” to Mexico’s border invaders for so long that it is now habit; it is now expected; it is now normal to permit illegality. So now we can face Mexican threats to “sue” if we dare to begin enforcing laws and policies that have been on the books since the first immigrations laws of the 1790’s.

You build the fence. As you build the fence you begin rounding up the illegal immigrants from all the countries who have allowed their peoples to run away. You begin to send them all home AFTER you’ve given them an opportunity to file the paperwork necessary to: 1) be a “guest worker”, 2) be a student, 3) be a resident, (in other words “be legal”).

You politely and diplomatically tell every country in the world that they are getting their people back and that these people have filed the appropriate paperwork and they’ll be hearing from America soon concerning the various applications. Until then they should stay by the phone: “Don’t call us. We’ll call you.”

This is called “enforcement”. It is not “amnesty”.

We can also politely and diplomatically tell the President of Mexico to take his threats and flush them.

I am tired of hearing this cannot be done. It can be done and it should be done. Illegal people have no right to anything free from America. Any American that would attempt to press such issues against the Mexican government would be immediately jailed if not killed for saying and doing things like those that have been done recently on American streets. I am suggesting we build a secure border and give these folks a train ticket, bus ticket or airline ticket home until we have them investigated and cleared for legal entry into the country. I just don’t think it is asking too much that America enforce existing immigration law just like every other country in the whole wide world!
