May 5, 2006 I would like to recommend the story Recovering as a "Religious Fanatic.". The prose presents a strong rebuttal to standard atheistic and secular humanist rants. Read the piece and enjoy it, and take heart! The featured writer was saved from psychiatry by the Christian Messiah! If you are interested in reading many personal stories featuring recovery from modern psychiatry, then by all means visit this website. The first link in this article features the story of a person who was trapped in the clutches of modern psychiatry. The medical authorities didn't understand the power of Christ. Many skeptics don't understand the power of Christ. That writer says, "I want to challenge traditional mental health ideas, as I see them doing great harm to society....Let's talk about MENTAL EXCELLENCE." Skeptics are free to argue that Christ is nothing but a fairy tale, but the person featured in this article is not a fairy tale. If you think that is the case, however, then write the webmaster and duke it out with him or her. And now that Christ is vindicated, how about a bit of a sermon? A seed's greatest opportunity is moisture, but many damp seeds rot! Only certain seeds grow! Moisture rots the dead seeds. The live seeds burst open and rise through the soil to reach the sun's light. In vitality the illuminated growing person rises higher and higher in ascension and leafs out. A mighty tree begins with the first shoot! Each budding poet produces a first leaf! Each budding prophet produces an initial vision of tomorrow’s world! These are new and unfamiliar works, which come after The Water Bearer has come and moisture has been delivered... the tears of sorrow; the tears of joy; the tears of pain; the long walks in the rain; the days of dripping sweat and hard labor, and the hours of weakness and fever, when one's pajamas become wringing wet, whether a kind nurse is present or not. A divine scripture must include the torrents of water. Otherwise it's a Pollyannish chronicle of delusion. It's the frosting without the cake. It's the sauce without the meat. It's the suit and tie without any person to support the clothing. The High Priest presents Himself as the long-suffering miscreant. This is the Water Bearer's fulfillment as a baptizer. The rest are hollow shells, mere chaff... not the kernels of living wheat. To favor one side is unbalanced. There's both the East and the West. There's both the visible tangible person and the inner person. There's the meeting of religion and science. There's the union of subject and object. There's the blue horizon where blue sky and blue ocean meet. On a clear day the sky and the earth are mixed in the presence of a meditator who scries the horizon. In the scryer's vision hundreds of bright swirling points of white light spin and gyrate like whirligig beetles on the surface of a still pond. In this way the scryer unites the contrary elements. The scryer arrives at the peace accord, yes, even between Jews and anti-Semites. What exactly are these swirling points of white light? Well, in his book on Wilhelm Reich, on page 160, David Boadella devotes two paragraphs to these swirling light points, and then drops the topic. Furthermore, Orson Bean describes this effect in his book "Me and the Orgone." Colin Wilson quotes Orson Bean in Wilson's book, "The Quest for Wilhelm Reich." However, not one of these people followed up on this phenomenon. On page 160 of his book entitled "Wilhelm Reich" David Boadella says, "If one looks into the daytime sky on a clear day, relaxes the eyes, and looks into empty space, a number of minute brilliant points of light become visible. They appear to dance about in whirling motions. Anyone who looks at the sky in this way can observe these points of light, yet few people are in fact aware of them until their attention is specifically directed. One does not find in the annals of science a description of these points of light....The phenomenon is one that was never studied because most scientists did not give up valuable time to looking at darkness, or into empty boxes, or at a blank sky." Well, some scryers scry on a blank mirror or a black mirror. So what exactly is scrying? What does a meditator actually do that helps him or her see these swirling points of white light where the blue sea and the blue sky meet? And once a person knows how to relax and gaze, what makes these light points appear? Is this the illumination of Deity? Is the scryer actually seeing the white light of God shining behind Saint Peter at Heaven's Gate? These questions will all be answered in due time with sufficient human interest. Adequate funding to support innovative research is generally available only to professional research scientists. How can secular humanism and amply-funded academic research science study this perception by a scryer? The specimen to capture is both inside of and outside of the observer. Yogis share this unitive sense as they gaze into each others' eyes and feel the balance as it equilibrates each individual. The yogis are beyond distinguishing between the four primary elements of earth, air, water, and fire. They scry beyond the analyst's nits, to witness the whole synthesized unified immensity that the nits feed upon and breed upon. The analytical nitpicking secular humanists and other skeptics of the transcendental can gather data on these meditators, reports of specific visions, and records of certain bodily functions including brain scans, but such data can’t give a skeptic the actual experience of transcendence. Water rots a dead seed. Only a live seed can swell and bust out of its armored protective shell. Aquarius the Mythical Water Bearer ------------ About the author: John L.
