 By Kaycee Nilson May 5, 2006 I had no idea that the last time I wrote, I would be in the hospital. I had a nurse that inadvertently given me a shot in the area between the arm and shoulder and that it would still hurt to today, Thursday May 4, 2006. I came out of the hospital with pin-cushioned arms and some cold. Today, I am still fighting whatever it was that I picked up out of the hospital and facing surgery. They wanted to operate on me 7 days ago, but I would have missed the baby’s birthday. So next week, I will undergo the knife. This does not frighten me at all. I knew this was coming, and I am prepared. This weekend, I’ll pack my bag, I’ll spend time with my boys, and I will pre-write a few columns. And when I get home, you can rest assured that I will be back in the saddle again. Figuratively speaking that is. I never thought I would have so many thoughts in my head that I cannot get them out through my fingers and into this piece. I guess that I will hope that the editor forgives this one for being so short. But Toradol makes one so sleepy and so tired.
