May 3, 2006 There's too much to respond too in a general way, so I'll just take it bit by bit. I saw the pictures of the American High School flying the Mexican flag above an American flag being flown upside down. My chief thought at the sight of that was not that it was a form of free speech. My thought was that America has been invaded by the most ungrateful mass of freeloaders and thieves in the world. What I saw were immigrants, illegal and legal, donating blood, singing the national anthem, and picking up trash. Those “thieves” work for a living, sometimes for less than minimum wage. If they all vanished, the economy would not like the result. All illegal invaders are free to leave my country and take their freaking flags with them. They are also free to get hired by many businesses, apparently, which scout for cheap labor with zeal. Every ethnic group that is currently trying to get a free pass to American society without assimilation is also free to identify themselves to the proper authorities and claim their bus ticket home. “Without assimilation”? Huh? Isn't Italian food the most popular, followed perhaps by Chinese and then tex-mex? They will change American culture and already have as every other previous group did and we will like it. We have a section of town which used to be called “little Poland”. Folks there attended Polish church services, read the Polish paper and shopped at Polish stores. They are the worst case of assimilation I've ever seen in America first hand. The Mexicans in my area drive SUVs, talk on cell phones while they drive, and speak English rather well – they learn fast. I've known Poles which have lived here for 50 years yet can hardly speak a single sentence of English without sounding utterly silly – no wonder we have “Polak jokes”. Did you ever see The Fugitive, with Harrison Ford? Remember the little apartment that he stayed in while he was on the run? His landlord was a Polish lady. When she told him, “You can look it”, I smiled a big cheesy smile – well made movie, great example of broken, Slavic, English. I better drop this point before I get a headache pain. Too late! Look likes I already have one. Leave your cave, Mac, this IS America! You have made your point. You don’t want to be Americans. You want to steal America from Americans. You want to live in a place you are free to trash and destroy without being jailed. You want to bring your drugs and your crime to a place that sets bail for murderers and thugs and affords rights and legal privilege where you would receive none of that in your own country. Their skin too brown for you, is that it? If you Conservatives would quit supporting the “war on drugs”, much of crime would vanish rather quickly, Hispanic or otherwise. Don't forget that we weren't the true Americans. Handy to fast-forward history to the point where white people began to rule and then use that point as your benchmark. Until your real agenda was so openly displayed I actually had some sympathy for those of you who were only looking for dollars to feed your families. Now I see you want to swamp America with your illiterate masses and demand rights and privileges at the expense of those who have worked hard to earn what they have. Our riches are not your plunder. That is the belief of pirates and invaders. That is the belief of barbarians. Some of the greatest empires of history collapsed by allowing vandals, Goths and barbaric hordes of illiterate sub-culturists to invade; continually taking from their societies without returning anything to the existing culture. This is the lot of America. We have permitted multiculturalism to destroy what was once the unique American fabric. American culture exists only in history books and ancient music. American culture doesn’t know what language to speak anymore. It has become the language of Phonics or the Ebonics and spelling be damned! And what agenda would that be? To mow your grass? Illiterate masses? Left to Conservatives, we are at 76% now – the worst of the modern industrial nations for literacy – note that most other modern industrialized nations are more liberal than we are (and many are also bilingual). They are also more secular – is there a connection? Of course there is. I tend to doubt that the Goths took jobs that Romans didn't want and paid Roman taxes while doing them only to have the Romans complain at the same time that they used their well-maintained, expensive, road system. Romans had slaves for those kinds of duties. You Conservatives think every damn thing which conflicts with your dated world-view will lead to the fall of our Empire. Real reasons that the Roman Empire fell were a widening gap between the rich and the poor and having their influence spread too far, wide and thin – something Bush and his tax cuts are fast working on as we speak... Multiculturalism is what Jesus would like. It's about time we become truly bilingual. Trilingual would be more like it, we should start in preschool. Spanish and the more popular variety of Chinese. The America you fondly remember was the America of stringing blacks on trees and other nasties. Times change. Some things get worse, some things get better. It's a trade off and balance. Myself, I think this is among the best of times for America, though it is on the decline. The 90s were better, of course. America has lost its leads in Science and Mathematics. America is crumbling politically, diplomatically and militarily. Liberalism has managed to infuse itself into every aspect of American existence diluting everything that used to be moral and right with American society. If I merely responded with laughter it would be juvenile. Look up why science thinks America is losing her lead in these areas, Mac. Oh yeah! That's right! Fundamentalists, like you, and your attack and watering down tactics to public education and science. Note the repeated use of the word “science”. Pick your science group, Mac! The Geophysical Union? The Union of Concerned Scientists? The Academy of Sciences? They all see real danger in your push to put superstition into the science classroom. Do you think China teaches Intelligent Design, Mac? You wouldn't like it if America got its lead in science back anyway. As the general public gets more aware of science, they also tend to be less religious – that is why you fight it, of course. That is what Europe, with its higher standards of living and lower crime rates, has right now – more secularism in public. Now everyone must be tolerant and respectful of everyone else, no matter how sinful or outrageous. Pedophiles, cannibals, polygamists, sodomites and murderers are given all the protections of the law while Christians are brought before the law for preaching a Gospel now labeled “hate speech”. That is so butt backwards the founding fathers of the United States are not just rolling in their graves, but are actually looking for another land to be relocated to. Uh huh. Cannibalism and pedophilia are tolerated, lol [sarcasm]. Much of what religion teaches IS hate speech, Mac. Hate against women, hate against other religions, hate against certain sexual persuasions, etc. You poor Christians and your whining, “we are the majority religion and you expect us to be NICE in a pluralistic society? Go to Hell!” You wouldn't know discrimination if it bit you in the @ss. Is there a historical precedent for so much “pity me” from a super-majority? You are disgrace to struggling persecuted groups the world over, Mac. The Founding Fathers came up with this motto, Mac, “Out of Many, One”. They did not come up with, “One Nation, Under [the Christian] God”. Most of the Framers were deists, not Christians. Lincoln refused to put God into the Constitution. Yeah, you read that right – look it up. Society was more religious in days past, but government was, in some very key ways, MORE secular than it is today. God on money? In the pledge? Please – those are MODERN additions in our nation's history. India, another rising superpower that doesn't teach Intelligent Design in their science classrooms, a country not so bullheaded that they don't teach other languages, a country with more English speaking people than America, a country which is the largest democracy in the world, has this as their motto, “In Truth We Trust”. India seems to have made their motto in the spirit that the Founders did. Too bad you and your poor, mistreated, majority had go to screw that up... Finally, if there was cannibalism in America, no doubt it would be part of a religious ritual and if it was part of your religion, you'd defend it in a similar, foolish, non-thinking, manner... There is not one other nation in the world that has laws that would allow such desecration of cultural values and religious faith. There is not one other nation in the world that is such a patsy! Have your protests, your May Day, your desecration of American values. Please throw your trash and filth in our streets. Please show us how your ideals are better than the American dream. Take over my country tomorrow so I can retire, quit work and let you pay my retirement salary and social security while I return nothing to your illegal invader-inspired paradise. I’m tired of paying your freight. American dream? Recent studies show that Europe allows for better upward mobility – people can leave the class into which they are born easier. As a matter of fact, were it not for immigrants in our country, Europe would really have us beat in the American Dream statistic. Desecration of religious values in America? You mean how we no longer worship the Crow Spirit, as some original Americans did? You aren't a true American, Mac. You are an in-between. Your ilk wasn't here first and you won't be here last. By “you and your ilk” I don't mean just your race – I'm white too - I mean your intolerant righteous hate-mongering pseudo-Christian style, the kind that use politics and religion and race and cherry-picked history to inflate your own importance. Meek? Love your neighbor and feed the poor? Indeed! Why don't you go visit a nice Chinese place when you get back to the states, eh [I recommend crab and creme-cheese wontons]?
