May 1, 2006 Being against war is not anti-American. It is pro-life and pro-logic, and just down right makes sense. There are plenty of pro-war, pro-genocide, and irrational people, at least thirty-eight percent that will call you a communist/socialist lefty if you disagree with anything flushed through the political sewer of the Whitehouse. My advice to those of you in the 52 percent group (not that you want my advice) is, don’t listen to the radical right. They would agree with anything our President regurgitates to the public. They still believe the war in Iraq was based on real WMDs. They also believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. They still believe that NSA’s wiretapping was necessary. Why? Well, because their chosen leader said so. What other reason do you need dog gone it? They still believe that CAFTA was a darn smart move made by the President. I’m sure they believe Rush Limbaugh was trapped by a bunch of left wing liberal doctors. He really didn’t mean to doctor shop. Those liberal doctors made me do it mommy. Who are these people? They are conservative zealots that want to blame the President’s failure to lead on liberals. That’s like blaming spilled dog poop on the neighbor’s cat. It just doesn’t hold water any longer. American people are starting to wake up from their deep sleep induced by our current hoodwinking ruling party. Actually, the hoodwinking ruling party is starting to wake up to public opinion. Republican politicians are coming out of their coma. You know what I mean when I say public opinion, you know, “We the people.” The American people do not wish to have big brother in their living rooms, their bedrooms, or in the war room. We fought the Revolution to get away from big brother. Big brother will be gone in a couple of years and I hope with every inch of my being that we are smart enough to elect someone, who wants to be our little brother and is willing to listen to his family of constituents.
Only voters can change the complexion of our government. Only voters can regain our democracy and only voters can keep this country from falling into the hands of blind leadership. Vote my friends. Vote your conscience.
