Love Connections On The Geocaching Trail

By Bonijean Isaacs
Mar. 31, 2006

When I discovered Geocaching, it made the Dating Scene a whole lot easier. Dating can feel like a Job interview. "Where do you want to go," the man wants to know. Ask a Libra to make a decision………….. Dah! Frequently, I will order whatever he orders so that I don’t have to made a decision. It is really interesting when I go to lunch with another Libra and he is waiting for me to decide what to order. Generally, I will get a man’s date, time and location of birth. I will fire up a chart on my Astrology Program and we talk about himself. Now, I tell him to wear hiking boots and expect lots of physical exercise.
Ironically, the gentleman who introduced me to Geocaching is also a Libra that I met at an on-line dating site. . Geocaching is an outdoor sport that utilizes the use of a Global Positioning System ("GPS") locator to find "geocaches" (or "caches") placed near various hiking trails and parks with the coordinates listed on the Internet. . A typical cache is a small, waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure", usually trinkets of little value. Participants are called geocachers.

Woo Hoo! My first find. I met Pathfinder on a dating site. We agreed to meet at the Alderson Big Wheel. I lost my keys on the way out of the house. I had to cast a horary chart to find them but I was still fifteen minutes late. Pathfinder introduced me to the adventures of Geocaching. This is a great idea for a first date. It is a easy walk from the park, very pleasant along the river. I took out Pathfinder's Military Airborne pin and left a Lightning Bolt Rune. Namaste!!!!!!
The Libra Gentleman and I made a date to search for "HomeCooking" the following week. He stood me up. Oh Well! I cast a horary chart and went looking for it on my own. Ferlin the Huskey Hound Mutt and I had a picnic by the river. I even brought a candle. I have fun on my dates even when my date doesn’t show. The next week, I purchased my own GPS locator.
I LOVE Capricorn Men even though they terrify me. Capricorn’s are ultraconservatives with High Standards. I am a freespirited, blue jeans type of gal. The first time I went out with this Capricorn, I felt like a complete dork in a dress at on overpriced restaurant. I was amazed that he asked me out a second time. This time I told him to bring his hiking boots and meet me at the parking lot by that overpriced restaurant. I had two of my own Caches to hide. I hide Love Can’t Wait at the Confederate Graveyard. The year before, I compromised a Virgo’s Virtue in that Graveyard. It was Halloween with Screech Owls in the background. It was a great experience. The Second Cache Soiled Dove was hidden inside a 1700’s era grave. I had to retrieve the Caches and hide them someplace else when the Geocaching Police told Caches in Graves was a no- no. So much for impressing the conservative Capricorn.

The Capricorn and I had a romantic lunch at Arby's (more my style) - and drove to the Greenbrier State Forest in search for "Sheri's Greenbrier State Forest Adventure." The Coordinates are a bit off but my Capricorn Friend picked up on the clues and located Sheri's Greenbrier State Forest Adventure. I took a compass and left a pinkie ring. I learned that the Capricorn is a Geologist. Someone who likes crawling around in caves with the crickets and the bats. A man after my own heart. Upon reading his chart, I discovered that he was a Capricorn with SCORPIO rising. Oh La La! This is one Capricorn with a virtue worth compromising. Capricorn’s may be conservative but they sizzle without the bells and whistles when you get them behind closed doors.

Black Bear's Cache

This was a very productive day. I connected with a gentleman at the on-line dating site. This one was a Leo. He found the caches I planted. Soiled Dove in Lewisburg and Love Can't Wait in the Greenbrier State Forest. Next we were heading on the trail in Search for Black Bear. I noticed that we walked right past Sherry's Greenbrier Forest Adventure. So we made a detour and he found that cache. It was quite a walk when we finally reached Black Bear. I left a horary Astrological Chart about the plight of the Polygamous Judge - My date found a coin honoring American Veterans. Since he is a retired Air Force man - He took the coin. My gentleman friend got lots of physical exercise. I am not sure that Geocaching was what he had in mind, but for a first date……………..Grouchy Leo - It’s Saturn’s Fault, I told him.

This was a beautiful hike with my Capricorn with Scorpio Rising Geologist Buddy. This was our fourth date. Woo Hoo! There was snow on ground and what looked like magnolia trees but I know they are not magnolia trees because it's too cold in WV for magnolia trees. Several types of animal tracks. If they are bears, I hope they stay away. There were fallen logs on the trail, I was crawling under them and the Capricorn cute was climbing over them. I took Murphy Travel Bug and Left That My Stapler Travel Bug. That's My Stapler was such a sweetie. I wanted to keep him but that not the mission of TB's. He does seem to like WV Hiking Trails.

This was an easy park and grab on the other side of Anthony's Mouth. Thanks for the Adventure. There is no love connection yet, but I may have converted a few gentlemen into Geocachers and…………………It’s all Good.
