Mar. 21, 2006 Well I can see by the clock on the big wall to my left and the calendar that it is time for us to evolve once again. I on one hand welcome it but I know that some out there won't take the changes very well. I know for a fact that the great debate has always been God and Evolution so let's weigh the facts and see what develops. It has been written in many forms and versions of the bible that God created man in his own image. That's cool; I always pictured God as having a huge nose and a little bald spot in the back of his head. Darwin's theory of evolution will tell you that man evolved from apes. Which is right? Well, if we are evolved from apes then why do we have apes? Why are not all apes human now? Why do we still have fish? The bible preaches that Adam and Eve started all the races. If this is true then are we not all products of incest? Now scientists tell us that we were evolved from fish. I knew there was a reason I always was called a shrimp. Whose theory is right here? We are told to take God on faith value but scientists tell us to trust them because they just know. This, my friend, is also face value or faith. Now we are on an even scale. Both theories are based on faith. Now if I am to believe that one or the other is the truth then I also would believe that evolution should be alive and well. Why haven't we evolved in any way, shape, or form in the last thousand years? The other side of the coin we have God. God actually evolved from the word good and devil from the word evil. Everything good is god and everything evil is Devil. God hasn't stooped as did evolution. God is still all around us. We see proof in the stars, landscape and everything that is good. Why should we trust a man that tells us that we evolved from apes or fish? This answer is a simple one, we were made to think and invent. If God didn't make us this way then we would not have evolved to be the great planet that we are. Now you might ask about all the bad in the world such as war and poverty. This is called thinning the herd. If man didn't die in massage amounts then we would all suffer the consequences. So here we are who is right? Were my ancestor's apes or calamari? Did God kick it up a notch and “Bam” us all here? Who really knows this answer to the great old question? I wonder where I would put my belief in. Should I place my fate in the hands of a scientist that has to say the things that he says to keep his job or do I place my faith in God? I know when the gun is aimed at someone and that trigger goes off and the bullet missed the person's heart by one centimeter it was not evolution that took a part in keeping that person from dying. I know that you think I am an extremist, pushing my values on you but I am not, I am just a fan of the big guy's. If any chance you are a big evolution fan then sit back and buckle up and get ready for the next wave of evolution. I think I need a tail or gills might be cool. Let's see what happens. Imagine, evolving from a fish or was that Gods plan from the beginning? ------------ About the author: Bob D Caterino is a writer that we all either hate or love.
