Mar. 15, 2006 Long ago (this morning) in a galaxy far, far away (another web site), one of the alien creatures posted the following: "They will assist Iran with securing nuclear capabilities by aligning its neighbors and our NPT partners (including China and Russia) against the United States. With the following stupid statements like that of UN Ambassador John Bolton, “If that (regime change) is déjà vu, then so be it, but that is the course we are on in an effort to get Iran to reverse its decision to acquire nuclear weapons.”" --nOnesuch That might make sense if you believed that Great Britain, fighting back against Nazi Germany's attack, was responsible for Italy's joining the Axis powers. It might make sense if you believed that Roosevelt was to blame for the kamikaze pilot attacks because we had declared war on the Japanese after Pearl Harbor. It might make sense if you believe that Imette St. Guillen was murdered because she fought back when attacked. It might make sense if you believe that people die of pneumonia because doctors give them antibiotics. It might make sense if you are a completely irrational anti-Bush fanatic. Otherwise it just seems bizaare and illogical. To paraphrase the statement above: Because Bush administration opposes the Iranian acquisition of nuclear weapons, we increase the likelihood that they will acquire the weapons. That would assume that the Iranians would stop their attempt to manufacture such weapons if we hadn't opposed them! Does that make sense to anybody? Has our educational system so neglected its duties that so-called "educated citizens" can believe such utter nonsense? Is their hatred f Bush so all-consuming that they are willing to suspend logic and lose their grasp on reality to such a degree? Has the left wing been engaged in intellectual incest, hanging out only with other delusional people to the point that there is no grasp of reality at all? Dles mental masturbation cause sociopolitical blindness? Have they been using too much KY Jelly? ------------ About the author Brooks A.
