 By Ken Hughes Mar. 7, 2006 No one in the administration ever considered the transfer of the use of port facilities could be construed as something the Democrats would jump all over. The Dubai Company had been servicing our Navy for some time. Their servicing world ports with no problems. To anyone with a brain this was a no-brainer. Doing a good job and being loyal isn’t enough when it comes to politics. Democrats are out for blood and will do anything and go to any lengths to draw good red Republican blood. International commerce and port security by their very nature run counter to each other. It would be like trying to make something both hot and cold at the same time. [Hold that thought, here comes the hot and cold] We’re learning it’s none other than former President, [husband of Senator Hillary Clinton] William Jefferson Clinton who’s leading the charge advising the Dubai World Port Company how to get around those in the congress who object to the deal. This is where Hillary is leading the charge. This brings us to only one conclusion. Hillary knows her objections are only smoke and no fire. She’s well aware once the media finds another caucus along the road of disinformation to feed on the port deal will go the way all the previous allegations of misconduct by the administration have gone, down the preverbal toilet. Democrats will have planted another seed of doubt in the minds of the public. Ms. Clinton says she had no idea Husband Bill had earned a reported half a million American dollars since leaving the Whitehouse telling the UAE bedtime stories, or they UAE contributed a reported million dollars to his Library in Little Rock. She’s telling us [the smartest woman in America] can be hoodwinked by a Country Boy like Bill Clinton? I’m not buying that one not for a moment. Getting back to the port deal: Dubai will have very little to do with port operations except collect the profits the British are collecting now. They won’t own port facilities, they won’t have Arab employees, and they won’t be providing security. The management will remain the same, mostly American. The cargo will be coming from the same foreign ports as before. There is nothing to change except who cash’s the checks from the profits. Profits Americans aren’t getting now. It never ceases to amaze some of us how gullible the public can be, or perhaps just indifferent. In this case indifference is justified. Port operations transferring from one foreign company to another isn’t going to make any difference in our security. All the major ports in our system are operated by foreign companies, in the case of the Chinese operated ports on the west coast they’re probably owned by the Chinese Army. America can’t live in a vacuum and survive we’re compelled to practice some trust if we’re to maintain peaceful relations around the world. All terrorists aren’t Arab, all Arabs aren’t terrorists its racisms for Democrats to make that suggestion even if its only by innuendo. Islam has different rules they follow perhaps its time we learned to accept that and find ways of accommodating their culture. Otherwise we infidels are in for a thousand year war we can’t win or lose. Has anyone ever noticed the comparison of the Clintons to the Clampetts of the Beverly Hillbilly’s TV fame? There’s loveable Jed [Bill] Slick old Granny [Hillary] perky Elly Mae [Chelsea] bumbling Jethro [Brother Roger.] they all act alike and their all from Arkansas? It’s probably not important I thought it was an interesting comparison. What next from the Democrats? You can bet whatever you like it’ll be something. Their stratigy is to teardown Republicans at every opportunity no matter what lies they have to fabricate to do it.
