Mar. 5, 2006 I just received an e-mail from an former UK writer advising me that I know have a competitor on the site. " What you gonna do, " the Internet flamer wants to know. She trumps my tarot card readings and dreamcatchers with claims of full blown ESP and she can also write better than I do, he advised me. He assured me that I still win his favorite bizarre person award unless this newcomer opts to flash him her bare chest. What a marvelous chuckle from a gentleman who frequently gets the short end of the stick measuring contest. So…………… Is the woman a competitor or another sister in the Writer's Community? I opt to claim her as a sister. There are folks from many different walks of life in the Writers Community. We have Conservatives, Liberals, Christians, Atheists, folks with money and folks who are church mouse poor. We have preachers, bikers, goodie two shoes, street wise bad asses, an Astrologer and now a Paranormal Investigator. We all have a common passion. We write. The Psychic Community is just as real as any other community. Astrologers are considered part of the community but there is a difference between a spiritual intuitive paranormal investigator and an Astrologer. I have a good chuckle when I will discuss some aspect of a person's astrological chart and they request that I speak to their dead grandmother afterwards. I often joke about how some of my psychic friends get the same information by remote viewing that I have to gaze at a bunch of planets and stars to find out. Sometimes, I catch a glimpse of what might be a ghost. Those darn fairy people are always stealing and hiding my keys. For the most part, I don't see dead people. I don't talk to dead people. I don't want to talk to or see dead people. A good Astrologer does not have to have even a tiny thimble full of intuitive ability. All that is required is an understanding of how the Star Constellations and Planets work together. This can take years of study. I have been studying the stars since I was a young teenager. You can bet your sweet bippy that I frequently have to look in the book to gain understanding of a particular understanding of an astrological aspect. The thing is ……………..I know where to look to find the answer. Tarot Cards Readings do not require intuitive abilities either. I have a friend who lays out the cards and reads the meaning in the cards in a book. He still gives an accurate reading. Most of us who have been reading cards for awhile don't need the book. We know what the cards mean. The thing about intuitive ability is that everybody has it. It can be developed and fine-tuned. An Astrologer and Tarot Card reader may not have a whole lot of intuitive skills when they start reading but frequently, it develops as they continue to learn more about Astrology and Tarot. Ironically, it was the Natalie Holloway case that got me onto the UK Site. I was working with a few of my Astrologer buddies on the case. I researched for information on the Google Site. Natalie Holloway showed up frequently on the UK Site. I came on board as a writer and it's been a blast. Numerous Psychics and Astrologers have utilized their skills and knowledge on the Natalie Holloway Case that still remains unsolved. Nevertheless I suspect that they have reached the same conclusion as those who are not in the Psychic Community. On a happier note………………….
