June 23, 2006 The front pages of all the national media and the airwaves were all touting the story of the torturous deaths of PFC Thomas L. Tucker and PFC Kristian Menchaca at the hands of the friendly freedom fighters of Al Qaida. There were also stories of the 8000 men sent to search and the men that were killed and wounded during the search and how the families of those killed were upset that the “government didn’t do enough to keep the men safe”. People die in war. It is sad, but it is a fact. People die in war. What is even sadder is that deaths in war are being used as political tools to gain sympathy for the “cut and run” diatribes of liberal politicians. The United States once listened to such council and it brought the nation shame. It also emboldened those who have always despised America to test the resolve of the country to fight back after having its people killed in random attacks worldwide. We did not respond to 17 dead Americans in a Yemeni port. We did not respond to American deaths in Kenya and Tanzania. We did not respond to the deaths at the World Trade Center bombing in 1993. We allowed ourselves to be shamed into retreat in Somalia. Al Qaida racked up the victories and the recruits; finally becoming bold enough to take down the World Trade Center in 2001. All those years we were being attacked and defeated. The bad guys lost no one in particular while decent, innocent Americans were being killed in foreign and domestic fields. There are many who want to return to the “good old days” of allowing our enemies the occasional victory so we don’t have to spend money and lives better used to protect the streets of New Orleans or Washington, D.C. No American taken alive by the friendly freedom fighters of Al Qaida has survived his/her captivity. Jessica Lynch survived her ordeal because she was captured by Iraqi regulars who recognized some type of Geneva Code. Al Qaida only recognizes the code of jihad which is the code of Islam. The code of jihad tells the Islamist to take the heads of the infidels and no matter how many ways you try to present Americans; they will always be “infidels” in the eyes of the Islamist. What is sad is that the Human Rights organizations that decry Guantanamo, Cuba and Abu Gharib and Haditha and other imagined atrocities America has executed against terrorist elements, but say nothing of the atrocious beheadings and torture of the friendly freedom fighters of Al Qaida. I recall a story of someone accidentally splashing a drop of pee-pee on a Koran and receiving a career ending reprimand. I recall a false story by “Newsweek” about a flushed holy book that got some Afghanis killed. I recall a federal judge trying to get all the Abu Gharib photos published to incense more Muslim extremists. I recall hundreds of articles about our insensitive and murderous military. There are seven Marines facing a firing squad right now over the death of one Iraqi, but you read of Al Zarqawi’s replacement scoring his first two American beheadings and there is no condemnation from any source. I hear nothing from Durbin, Kerry, Pelosi, Murtha, Obama, Kennedy, or any other liberal talking head. They do not care. They need America to lose the war and that’s when they believe they will regain their political power. Propaganda is an interesting activity. The American military had stories planted in Iraqi publications that told of the good things that were happening in the country and they were mercilessly attacked for not being fair and balanced in their presentations. We must always have the bad with the good. These same media scrubs write their “hit” pieces against soldiers and there is no “good” inside all that “bad”. Americans should know by now that they must never be taken prisoner. They will be exploited, terrorized, tortured and beheaded. They will be exploited by the American press and the liberal politician opposed to war. They will be terrorized, tortured and beheaded by their captors. The blame is already being directed at the commander of the soldiers who were killed and the government for not “protecting” its soldiers. I don’t hear anyone blaming the evil, scum-sucking, Islamic retards who did the actual torture and killing. In fact I see some actually suggesting this was an appropriate response for our having killed Al Zarqawi. That kind of thinking is just sick. The media darlings are the friendly freedom fighters of Al Qaida. You will not read the type of slander against Al Qaida you read against the American Military. They do not support the troops and they do not support the mission of America. They prefer to suck-up to the terrorists.
