June 22, 2006 You may have heard about Lewis the Cat, from Fairfield, Connecticut, who was recently sentenced in a Bridgeport, CT court to life indoors by Superior Court Judge Patrick Carroll, as a result of people who claimed to have been “terrorized victims” by the feline. Apparently, humans who invaded Lewis’ turf caught the wrath of Lewis, who instinctively defended his family’s turf. Keep in mind, this pussycat survived numerous horrific attempts on his life and acts of cruelty by his neighbors, including being completely covered in eggs. I ask you, where is the justice here? Lewis stood up for himself against the Earth’s most horrible, self-obsessed, wasteful, worthless creatures and managed to kick some serious human butt cheeks, and what does poor Lewis receive? A sentence that demands his isolation indoors for the rest of his natural life. How screwed up is that? I regret that Lewis could not take on more people, for it seems like too many rich, pampered, professional-do-absolutely-nothing-live-off-their-inheritance-people thrive way too comfortably in CT and Lewis could have helped us have-nots even the score. Let us face it, who would not want to see an annoying, pestering Avon lady from Easy Street who takes it upon herself to show up completely unannounced run for her annoying, whining existence! Long live Lewis the Cat, and while he is convicted to life indoors, I authentically hope his spirit lives on—evening a most uneven score between humans and animals.
