June 1, 2006 As you may have guessed from the subject of this article we deal in real estate sales within the state of Florida. We currently have offices in the southernmost portion of the state, Key West, and the near northernmost portion of the state, Apalachicola with satellite offices in Sarasota, and Miami. For anyone who is interested in either visiting or purchasing real estate in Florida I would suggest perusing our web sites. (see above) The broker is a man originally from Arkansas, Pat G. Moore. He has resided across the United States during his lifetime, but chooses to make Florida his home. He began South Beach Real Estate, Inc. in Key West, Fl. Back in 1990, then opened the Apalachicola, Fl. Office in 2000. We specialize in commercial, residential, lease/options, special purpose, and industrial properties in the state of Florida. During our tenure in Key West, FL. We had the opportunity to represent and sell the prestigious residential developments; Truman Annex, Shipyard Condominiums, and Golf Club properties for developer Pritam Singh; main and satellite banking locations for Ocean Bank; residential/marina properties at Oceanside for developer Douglas Walker; Fleming Street office complex and Southard Street office complex for developer Douglas Walker; Luisa Street residential complex and office suite complexes for developer William Kemp; Ballyhoo restaurant and residential properties for owner Dick Buckheim; DeJa Vous Hotel for buyer William Kemp; many commercial office complexes/restaurant/multi-million dollar residential properties both in Key West proper and along the Florida Keys; and much more. Key West offers a wide variety of things to do during the day either on the water or off. 7 miles offshore is the barrier reef where you can dive, snorkel, or swim in crystal clear water previewing many species of fish in their natural habitat. There are a plethora of restaurants that range from passable to spectacular and shopping to suit even the most discerning shopper mostly along Duval Street, which is the only street in the US that runs from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean. Key West if rife with rich history hence many museums, art galleries, and tours can be previewed between 10am and sunset. Each evening there is a sunset celebration on the docks at Mallory Pier. Buskers and street performers showcase their talents while tourists sip on cool drinks as the sun slips beneath the horizon. Be sure to visit our office at 422 Fleming Street. In Apalachicola our agents span the distance between Carrabelle, Fl. And Destin, Fl. There we have sold properties that range from vacant lots, both waterfront and off the water; historic homes in Apalachicola proper; commercial/residential/mixed use/marina complexes along the gulf coast region. Apalachicola is perhaps one of the last bastions of underdeveloped Florida where you can still take a lazy walk or bicycle ride along the harbor front or window shop in some of the most unique shops offering an unusual array of treasures in an assortment of price ranges, sample fresh oysters or shrimp from Apalachicola Bay, saunter along some of the most pristine beaches filled with pure white sugary soft sand underfoot, sipping a margarita, watching a magical sunset. Apalachicola is the second oldest town in the state of Florida and is noted for their oysters above all else. However, to stop there would be remiss because there is so much more that is offered in this sleepy area. The historic south side of town overlooks much of Apalachicola Bay with the Gibson Inn as her hallmark. No trip to this area is complete without a trip to the Gibson Inn for Friday evening happy hour. All of the locals and tourists gather here around 5 or 6pm for munches, conversation, advice, alternatives, and of course copious amounts of your favorite libation. Things to do in this area would range from back country fishing to estuary tours, to the Cape San Blas Lighthouse, to the sand dunes of St. George Island, to the historic tours of old town Apalachicola. For information about real estates in this area please visit our office at 268 Water Street. From our web sites you will be able to preview our featured properties, our listings, the entire MLS in each area, as well as link to other sites that provide detailed information about each area. Please let us help you find your own piece of paradise! Southbeachapalachicola.com Southbeachkeywest.com ------------ About the author: Michelle Malsbury was born and raised in Champaign, Illinois.
