Aristotle And Canada

By Mike Haran
July 29, 2006

Why is there so much war in the third world. Well for one thing it is economically productive. War creates refugees who create income for the war torn country.

Take Canada for instance. The federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly income of $1,890.00 plus an additional $580.00 in social assistance, a total of $2,470.00.A single pensioner who, after contributing to the growth and development of Canada for 40 or 50 years, can only receive in old age pension plus the supplement, a monthly maximum of $1,012.00.There have been grumbles by some who propose a cut in the refugee allowance to $1,012.00 and an increase in the pension to $2,470.00, so they, the pensioners, can enjoy the money they were forced to submit to the Canadian government for those 40 to 50 years.

A countries well being now no longer hinges upon its natural resources, but upon it's ability to control world resources by either turning them into durable goods or by trading them on the world market. Population is the new way to wealth. More specifically an educated population.

Is it possible for the teeming masses of the third world to educate their populations and so claim their share of the worlds wealth? In a word no. In order to educate a population freedom and a reasonable stable society is required .Freedom to increase the likelihood of superior intelligence filtering into the society as a whole thus increasing its well being through new medicine, technology, methods of government etc. A stable society is required in order to allow the former to accrue.

When looking at the world globe it will be noticed that the richest countries occupy a very small portion confined to western Europe. Give it a spin and one sees the US Canada and Australia. Why are these countries so well off?

All are beneficiaries of a system of thought based upon logic rather than mysticism, attributable to one man: Aristotle. He was the ancient Darwin who looked for a cause in all phenomena. The ancient Greeks needed a rationale explanation for everything before they acted. These small city states overcame the monolithic Persian empire using logic. In the Peloponnese the reading of smoke, the study of the flight of a flock of birds, the divination of an animals entrails etc were unheard of (the Muse at Delhi can be negated as many interpretations were possible).

The Aristotelian method has formed all of the societies of the western world. The third world sends its citizens to the west in order to learn the Aristotelian method (although 99.9%of them would deny it) in order to improve the fortunes of their own countries. They have a Herculean task as Mysticism is deeply rooted within their societies.

So too does it seem to be rearing its ugly head in Canada. Do not apply for your old age pension in Canada. Apply to be a refugee. Send your bucks over seas. Bring in as many non western cultures as possible seems to be the message the Federal Government.
