If I Was Distorting The Truth, I Wouldn't Be Interested In Debate Either

By Tom Pain
July 28, 2006

I think it is official now, no longer can anyone on U-K call me the most arrogant cuss they’ve ever heard – Thomas Keyes makes me look angelic in comparison.

Thomas thinks his opinions are facts. When he claims that Jews are intentionally and aggressively expanding, it’s a fact, it’s not his opinion. When he claims to be able to peer into the mind of George Bush and absolutely know that the man believed his uttered words to be false, ergo he’s a liar, that is fact according to Thomas, not opinion.

In other words, if Thomas has a perspective on a subjective issue, that renders it no longer subjective. His perspective becomes an objective fact.

And if anyone dares question his perspective, he labels you a liar and nonsensical. But importantly, he won’t answer your question. Thomas is too arrogant to be bothered with any other opinion, no matter how logical or persuasive it is.

I can imagine Thomas living centuries ago and pompously calling Columbus a liar because the Earth was square. I can imagine his guffaws and ridicule directed at the Wright brothers as they attempted to fly.

I hate to be the one to tell Thomas this, but the man is simply wrong on occasion. Oh, without a doubt, he is a knowledgeable man – I’ve paid him that same compliment many times. But he needs to learn the lesson Socrates taught me through his words when accused of being the "smartest man in the realm" by the Oracle at Delphi. Socrates, confused by the claim, pondered before hazarding the guess that the Oracle could only think that because Socrates was the only one in the realm who truly knew himself to be stupid.

Thomas, you can be stupid - know it and embrace the joy of humility that I’ve enjoyed these thirty years since reading that parable.

If you missed it, I had the gall to document, in excruciating detail through words and links, the history of Jews in Palestine that seemed logically, factually, and truthfully to prove Jews had not "expanded" in that region despite Thomas’ ugly accusations. Mine were not complex calculations that required hours to understand or research to confirm. In part, it was as simple as:

"Here’s the map of Israel when it was legitimately created by the United Nations in 1948, here is the map today – please point out the areas of expansion."

But Thomas refused to even acknowledge reading my words, he claimed they were not worthy and that they were "abusive."

Thomas claimed that Jews own the media in America and that they use that strength to exert absolute control on the entirety of our political institutions. That is a fact, he now claims, not opinion.

I responded with a simple question: "Please explain why, then, the media has constantly attacked Jewish interests and are overwhelmingly against America’s war in Iraq – Iraq being, in Thomas’ accusations, the next target of Jewish expansion. How can this make sense if the media are owned by Jews?"

Again, no answer. He refuses to "debate" these issues. I don’t think that even amounts to debate – I would call it "answering a logical request for clarification of your position." But, of course, Thomas’ position need no clarification, it is simply fact.

Yesterday’s "facts" from Thomas were the least "factual" yet. In response to a poll that found 57% of Americans supported Israel in its current battle with Hezbollah, Thomas noted that almost every U.S. Representative voted for a proclamation in support of Israel and concluded that was proof of Jewish control of American politicians.

Thinking that our Representatives are, in fact, supposed to vote as the majority of their constituents would, I questioned Thomas’ conclusion. I asked, "which Representative would you have had change his/her vote to that of the minority opinion?"

No answer from Thomas. Instead, we get today’s article from him declaring his opinions to be "facts" and, thus, beyond review from idiots like myself and others.

In the entirety of my time at U-K, I’ve never seen such bald-faced arrogance and deceit. That is quite a statement from me, one who has written over 100 articles documenting deceit and arrogance on this site. Others have refused to debate before, but most of those did not admit their refusal. In fact, they pretended to debate but actually ignored my arguments and merely repeated theirs over and over, in slightly different context. Thomas is the first to proclaim himself Lord God King of Facts and beyond reproach from the puny readers.

Had I resorted to partisan arguments and hyperbolic ranting of undocumented opinions, I could understand Thomas’ refusal to tango. I did not because I, heretofore, have respected the man and because he specifically declared that he would not respond to such responses. I was very careful to thoroughly document and to omit opinion. I replied with logical evidence and reasonable conclusions. To label them as "nonsense" as Thomas has done is despicable and dishonest.

You have lost all integrity on this site, Thomas.
