July 22, 2006 The history of Israel reminds me of that old Beastie Boys song, "You've got to Fight for Your Right to Party." Philosophers can easily make the case that life is a party so in other words Jews have to fight to live. This is no different from the history of any other people on earth. The United States was founded in blood when crooked landowners decided they didn't want to pay a reasonable tax and they conned the populace into revolting against their own kin. Russia was founded when Ivan, the terrible, overthrew descendents of Ghengis Khan. The origin of Mexico involves the subjugation of Native Americans by the Spanish followed by assimilation, revolution, and more revolution. Ever since the days of the cave man, various groups of humans would fight other groups of people, oftentimes for stupid reasons and sometimes for valid reasons, but no reasonable person denies the right of one group to defend themselves against another group, especially if the latter is the aggressor. The exception to this rule are the anti-semites who believe Jews don't have the right to defend themselves and therefore live. Thomas Keyes is Useless-Knowledge's resident anti-semite. He believes Israel is some kind of imperialist mistake and Jews should just lay down and die. In his schizophrenic diatribes he reveals deep ignorance and a bizarre paranoia. Historically, there is no doubt that Jewish people and descendents of Jewish people belong in Israel. Although there is no archaeological evidence of the patriarchs from Abraham and Isaac to Moses and Joshua, and there is only scant evidence of Kings David and Solomon; historians and archaeologists all agree a distinct group ancestral to modern Jews lived in what is now Israel by 1200 BC. Interestingly, the strongest evidence is the absence of pork bones from trash middens of this era. In 70 AD the Romans crushed a Jewish rebellion and began a diaspora that accelerated after another bloodier (for the Romans who lost an entire legion) rebellion in 135 AD. Though the Romans practiced ethnic cleansing by taking Jews into slavery and scattering them throughout Europe, they never completely eliminated the Jewish population, so there has been a continuing Jewish presence in Israel for over three thousand years. Genetic tests prove the Jewish population in Europe has remained distinct and ironically they are genetically identical to Palestinian Arabs (a fact Palestinians want to suppress). Because they retained their own culture, Europeans viewed Jews as mysterious and during difficult economic times the wicked leaders used them as convenient scapegoats. Many Jewish leaders recognized that without a homeland, they would be in danger of destruction and this was proven true by all the bloody pogroms of the twentieth century which culminated in the holocaust. Jews began returning to Israel in the late nineteenth century, but it was not to exploit natural resources which were and are scarce. It was to live in a land they could call their own. In 1948 Israel was founded in blood just like every other country in the world. They won a war with little outside help and carved out a tiny territory that unfortunately was surrounded by backward countries under the thumb of dictators and populated by fanatical followers of yet another stupid religion. If it wasn't for disastrous leadership, Palestinians would have an independent state by now. Instead of statesmanship, the leaders of the Palestinians have chosen terrorism and Israel has had no choice but to defend itself and the Palestinians have suffered. Until there is a strong Palestinian leader who believes in peace and attracts a strong following, the Palestinians will continue to suffer, but that is not Israel's fault. In the United States 57% of people sympathize with Israel while only 4% sympathize with Hezbollah. Thomas Keyes, apparently living in some psychotic fantasy, believes this must be the result of a conspiracy of the Jewish dominated media. More than anything else, this demonstrates his loss of touch with reality. For historical economic reasons Jews founded Hollywood and have had a great deal of influence in television and movies, but they do not own the news media. The media is owned by publicly traded multi-national corporations answerable to gentile-owned banks and advertisers. Executives of networks don't get together and spin the news so that it's favorable to Jews. This is the same lie one can find on neo-Nazi websites. Do a google search and type in "Jews own the media." You will find the top ten sites are Aryan brotherhood propaganda.
