Israel Against Terrorism

By Michael John McCrae
July 16, 2006

The Arab world will not learn a lesson. Israel will retaliate against terrorism. Israel is not like America. Israel has no room to play diplomatic games, especially when all diplomacy is extended to give the terrorists the advantage.

The calls are for Israel to cease fire. I hear no calls for Hezbollah to return the soldiers it kidnapped or to stop firing rockets into the Israeli homeland.

Israel should continue firing until Lebanon kicks the Iranian controlled and supported Hezbollah out of its borders. Israel should continue firing into the Gaza until Hamas is overthrown by anyone capable of exhibiting a single ounce of truly peaceful feeling towards the Jewish state. It is time for both these terrorist elements to find the same fate as al-Qaeda.

The last thing I want to hear is condemnation from the United Nations or the Arab League. Both organizations are highly anti-Israel. They are quick to defend Palestinians who have never proven to be peaceful and they want to legitimize a government led by Hamas which refuses to recognize Israel as a nation. They should instead be ignoring any terrorism-based government that is endorsing cross border rocket attacks against civilian neighborhoods.

But Israel is not going to roll over this time. They are fighting back because they know that is the way to gain any peace. They have fought many wars since 1947 and have won decades of peace after each one. That is all they really want. Israel would prefer that the Arabs stayed home and keep their children from strapping on homicide bombs. The reality is that all schools in the Arab world sponsor the role of jihad and teach the necessity of Jew-killing to gain favor with the god of the Arabs.

Right now the entire world’s condemnation is coming down on the country that is defending itself against terrorism. Everyone knows and admits that Hezbollah and Hamas are terrorist organizations. The United Nations and others are leaning on the American President to tell Israel to stop what it is doing. President Bush has resisted telling a sovereign nation it cannot defend its borders. I hope he continues to defend Israel’s right to protect its population.

Someone wrote that this attack on Israel is Iran’s proxy attack against the United States. That is probably a true assessment. It is probably true that Iran (owner of Hezbollah) is pulling the strings and making things happen to keep the world from looking directly at the radical-Islamic-mullah-inspired-Iranian dictatorship as it develops nuclear technology and supplies the world with new battalions of terrorists.

Iran declared war against America many years ago and they think their many terrorist actions have handcuffed America into appeasement mode on the diplomatic front. I personally believe Israel is trying to show America the more correct way of dealing with enemies bent on your destruction. You decimate their hideouts and you kill as many of their soldiers as you can until they stop their aggression.

Vladimir Putin knows all about “search and destroy”. Look at what he does in Chechnya and look at what he tell the world when the world dares to tell him he cannot fight his brand of fight against terrorists.

Israel has a right to defend itself. Lebanon can help itself by severing all ties with Iran and Hezbollah. Yes, there are members of Hezbollah in Lebanon’s cabinet, but they can be arrested for complicity in not reigning in the numbers of rocket attacks against Israel. Hezbollah can be exiled back to its country of origin just like the Syrian Army was kicked out of Lebanon.

’ As for Hamas; if there are any Palestinians that want peace it is time to tell Hamas to leave the country. Hamas had made its intentions well known that they will not end the conflict with Israel. Hamas wants the entire Palestinian State to endorse war against Israel and cover every child with a bomb vest pointed at the Jews. Hamas is not a government. It is a sincerely terrorist entity with blood on its hands and more blood planned. The organization deserves no respect and no quarter.

I read a headline that stated the Middle East Peace process “is dead”. I personally don’t believe it was ever “alive” on the side of the Palestinians. There was hope that quickly faded when Hamas was elected to run political diplomacy for the Palestinians. Their idea of negotiations was to dig tunnels, fire rockets and kidnap Israeli soldiers.

Israel should not stop firing until the soldiers are returned. There should be no negotiations with Hamas or Hezbollah at all, at any time. They deserve every bullet and bomb they’ve had to digest. If the world wants peace, it isn’t Israel that has to cease fire.

The guns that need to go silent are those of the terrorists.
