July 11, 2006 I honestly thought that I would be leaving not only earthquakes but serious crime behind when I moved to Phoenix. I was wrong. There are a million and a half people living in a five hundred square mile area in my city and we have two killers/rapists stalking and terrifying everyone in our city. These killer (and the police believe that there are two working together), are not discriminating as to whether they kill animals or human beings. The first shooting was of a horse on the outskirts of town in a place called Tolleson. That is only about 15 miles away from where I live and too close for comfort. They have moved from West to East and back again and are now working in central Phoenix. They wear long sleeved shirts (which should raise some flags since it's around 110 degrees on average these days) and possible dreadlock wigs. They are described as black males. I lived through the Hillside Stranger, The Night Stalker, Caryl Chessman, The Freeway Killer and several more evil serial monsters during my time as a resident of Los Angeles County and I had really hoped to never live with that kind of fear again. They don't just shoot innocent people but have also raped several woman over a period of slightly over a year. No matter where you go or where you live I guess there is no getting away from the monsters among us.
