 By Argile Stox Jan. 13, 2006 Free-Floating-Anxiety (FFA) is something I live with every day. I spoke to my doctor about this condition and he prescribed a mild tranquilizer to take the edge off. FFA is a combination of early childhood trauma, failed relationships, family secrets, my short stint into the world of homelessness, problems with my publisher – PublishAmerica, recent heart attack and Stent implantation, and a host of other minor unresolved situations & problems. What set me off today? Well, I tried to e-mail a comment to Mr. Michael E. Ross of MSNBC – regarding his article about homelessness. Each time I sent the e-mail, I received notification that the e-mail was deleted without being read. Infuriated, I called MSNBC and left messages on two voice mails that deal with public relations and viewer comments. I left my name and telephone number – and hope that I will get a call back. If I do not receive a call back by January 18, 2006 – I will call MSNBC and go through voice mail jail until I am connected to a live human-being. I am a patient guy. My anxiety and anger threshold is high, and I do not jump all over individuals when there is a problem. My blood pressure rises when I am ignored and my concerns are not resolved in a timely manner. At the time of this writing, I had to down one tranquilizer – just to ease my nerves and anxieties to prevent chest pains. Okay, I know that the world does not stop rotating on its axis when I have a problem or concern. However, I am getting sick & tired of voice mail and individuals who pass-the-buck to others. When I received a letter from the New York State Attorney General – Internet Division, regarding PublishAmerica’s reply to my complaint – Tracy and I called PublishAmerica and tried to speak to the author of the letter. We were told that she was not available, and that all correspondence must be handled by e-mail. Well, I know better than to e-mail anything to PublishAmerica – due to the fact that any part of our correspondence can be used by PublishAmerica in Arbitration or a Court of Law. So, when I am completely healed – by the middle of March, 2006, PublishAmerica is going to HEAR From Tracy and me, LOUD & CLEAR. As of this writing, Tracy and I have not received an apology from PublishAmerica for their libelous remarks contained in their letter to the New York State Attorney General – Internet Division. My blood boils each time I read PublishAmerica’s Home Page – “We are America’s Number One Publishing Company.” My BUTT! PublishAmerica is a Number One Scam Operation – Period, End of Story. I am fifty-one years of age, a middle aged adult – who must be taken seriously. I have earned the right to be heard, and will stomp my feet loudly, whistle, clap my hands & be a general pain-in-the-butt until I get someone’s attention at MSNBC & PublishAmerica. I just want to know if I am on some sort of “Black-List” and my e-mails are automatically deleted when they are received by MSNBC. If so; WHY? I send e-mail comments to MSNBC only when there is something to add to an article that is written or I disagree with the article. It just frustrates the Hell out of me, when I can not speak to a live human being – to get answers. The PublishAmerica thing can not be resolved via e-mail. For they just copy and paste canned answers in an e-mail, and send it off. The MSNBC “Contact Us” e-mail link is a complete waste of time – Due to the fact that they delete any responses without reading the e-mails. What type of fools do they think the American public’s are? I will get to the bottom of this – for as long as it takes, and my bottle of tranquilizers holds out –LOL! Okay, the fact is - I am an “arm-chair” back-seat driver. I understand that MSNBC receives millions of e-mails a day. When their “in-box” is full, excess e-mails are trashed. However, the excess e-mails should not be trashed – because each of the opinions of Americans and individuals around the world, ARE IMPORTANT! Geez! MSNBC can not insolate them selves like President George W. Bush – and not be open to the voices of the populous. PublishAmerica is another can of worms. They lost an arbitration meeting last month, and are hurting from that experience. PublishAmerica has been sued numerous times – by individuals / large corporations, and have lost every case. When are they going to wise up and realize that America takes a very dim view of companies that try to “mess with the heads” of the general population; and that PublishAmerica is NOT ABOVE THE LAW in this country? Well I can feel the tranquilizers kicking in, and the pains in my chest are slowly diminishing. However, sometimes I feel like the “big bad wolf,” trying to blow down a brick house which houses individuals that are out of touch with the population of America. How does one find a needle in a haystack? Use a magnet! Thanks for reading my rants and raves, Dear Reader; I really appreciate it.
