The Other Side Of Abortion

By Ken Hughes
Feb. 28, 2006

With all due respect Mr. Stox, there’s another side to abortion. What do we say to the child when and if there’s a heaven and we happen to meet there? “I’ sorry I only murdered you for convince?” The old argument of protecting women from rape and incest won’t fly with me. The cases of rape and incest are so miniscule they’re hardly worth the ink it takes to write about them. It’s more accurate to say abortion is used as another from of birth control. Had couples followed the proper protocol prior to the act modern science would have made the need for abortion mute. Except in very rare cases should be obsolete? A perceived need can be more accurately defined as being lazy.

When abortion fosters a franchised industry of Abortion Clinics the system is broken in the worst way. When Abortion Clinics spring up on street corners like Branch Banks the system is broken in the worst way. When Newspapers accept advertising for Abortion Clinic’s the system is broken in the worst way. Abortion is the worst way.

First Roe v Wade isn’t a law it’s a court ruling that struck down laws in nearly every state in America. Show me in the constitution where it defines abortion or a woman’s right to choose. In accordance with the constitution the federal government’s prohibited from making laws regarding abortion. Neither the courts nor congress can authorize murder under any circumstances stare-decisis be damned.

I’m not opposed to medical abortion when the need is justified. Our society has become so promiscuous we’re willing to accept murder over compassion indifference over obligation and call it medial need. That’s not right.

The 1973 Supreme Court decision didn’t legalize abortion it overturned state laws governing abortion. There’s no federal law addressing abortion. Abortion was a sub-issue, the actual rulings were about personal freedoms. The right to chose crowd have convoluted the issue until I doubt many Judges know how the opinion of Roe v Wade was actually written.

It’s politically incorrect to use Gods law “Thou Shall Not Murder” in defining this issue that is precisely what is taking place. Ask any expectant mother when she begins to feel the movement inside her body, when she begins to up-chuck crave pickles and ice-cream preferably mixed together? If she intends not to get an abortion and keep her baby she’ll be very explicit when life begins. When the little person is kicking the crap out of her and making her life miserable most of the next nine months when she provides room and board then ask her if it’s worth it. I know the answer do you?

Had their not been a depression and had there been money available for a Doctor, had abortions been legal in 1931 I have no doubt where I would have ended up in a medical trash can in some Doctor’s office. Instead I was farmed out until age ten then sent to an orphanage. My parents disregard for their seventh child was perhaps the best thing that ever happened to me I was alive. I was able to use my surrounding for both good and bad. As a candidate for both abortion and abandonment I can assure you I prefer abandonment over an empty shell of nothing.

A woman’s right to choose comes with responsibility. Sexual pleasure isn’t first priority in a long list of what constitutes living.

I’m sorry Mr. Stox, I can’t accept your argument.
