![]() By Ken Hughes Feb. 26, 2006 I could say the reason I decided to place a photo with each article was because I’m arrogant and couldn’t resist the opportunity of letting the world share what I see everyday. That arrogant I’m not. I have other reasons, read on. As I read articles I often wonder what the writer looks like. For example I pictured Michael John McCrae as a robust intellectual looking middle aged gentleman. Mac sent me a picture of him and President Bush [one.] Mac’s a robust intellectual looking middle aged gentleman. I had Michelle Malsbury pictured about the same as she looks in the picture on the back of her book. Sher Zieve was a surprise. I had Sher pictured some where between Nancy Pelosi, Ann Coulter and Marie Lavoux judging from her articles. She’s a mature lady somewhere in her mid ???? and could be the lady sitting next to you in church. Judy Ramsook in her original picture looked like one of those Princesses waiting for her Prince Charming to come sweep her away. In the more recent picture she looks like one the fun loving chipper Caribbean Girls I grew up with, good trade Judy. My favorite deserves his own paragraph. I had Dr. Brooks Mick pictured as a portly cigar smoking Country Doctor passing out placeboes to senior citizens for a buck a pop. When in fact he’s very athletic in his senior citizen years [barley 65] able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, my hats off to you Doc. I say you only get old when you act and think old. I’ve received some responses regarding my picture I’m sure others felt better not knowing. Some ask if I couldn’t find a more recent photo to post I guess that’s because I’m 75 and all 75 year olds are supposed to have a cretin look about them. No folks that’s me at my last birthday party. That’s it folks no disinformation or alterations, no hair coloring, no face lifts or tucks just little old me what you see is all there is. Me I’m the curious type I like to look a person in the eye when we’re communicating even if it’s only a picture. I think when connecting a person’s picture with their words it makes the exchange more of a personal nature. There is that other thing. I just learned how to transfer pictures to the internet but it’s hardly worth mentioning. May I suggest other put a picture with their articles? You can look yourselves in the eye when reading your own article and tell if you were sincere when you wrote it.
