Feb. 26, 2006 First, I want to comment that Joran's recent story during his much touted interview on "Primetime" was simply not believable. To quote Joran, "I wouldn't believe myself". You're right Joran, THAT statement was the truth...the ONLY truth that you spoke during that interview. You left Carlos & Charlie's with a girl who had been drinking a drink with an extremely high alcoholic content that you recommended to her and she was probably about to get very, very drunk; and very, very incoherent. You didn't leave with her because you felt sorry for her or because you had nothing better to do; no, you were looking for prey. A vulnerable and naive girl who was not used to drinking the drink that you recommended to her and did not know what effect it would have on her. The effect was probably enough to render her partially unconscious and unable to make clear decisions. By the time you got her to your planned destination she was most likely going "in and out of consciousness" and that was probably another bit of real truth that you have told during the course of this long investigation. You may have taken her to the Lighthouse area, you may have even taken her to a beach but I do NOT believe that you intended to remain there to accomplish your goal because there were other people around the place, Joran, and your plans for her might have been thwarted because as you stated during your interview, there were people on that beach near where you and Natalee were. Where are those people, Joran? Why haven't they come forward? You are not exactly a small guy. You are easily recognizable, even in the dark of night. You are a very tall young man and you were with a very drunk young woman. It would have been something that someone would have remembered seeing. But no one has come forward to back up your beach story. After the Kalpoe's dropped you off at this busy beach did you decide that there wasn't enough privacy to have sex with Natalee? After all, there were people there, as you yourself stated. Did you call your Dad for a ride home with the now incoherent Natalee? Did he pick you both up and drive you back to your private apartment which is a part of the property that your parents live in? How could you have feared waking up your father and brothers that night Joran when you lived in a separate apartment? Were you and Natalee dropped off there in the first place? Who picked you up Joran? First you said it was Deepak and when that was proven to be impossible because his computer was in use during the pick-up time you switched brothers. How convenient that there were two of them You were adamant that your father was innocent and that he DID NOT know what you did when you were out at night nor did he have anything to do with Natalee. I don't believe you Joran. I believe that at the very least, he gave you a ride home to your private apartment and sometime during that night Natalee died in your apartment. Did she die of alcohol poisoning? Did she begin to vomit and then choke on her own vomit? Did she die from rough sex while she was unable to defend herself or control herself? Did you kill her? Afterward, who would you call? Your father, of course. He has probably covered for you on many occasions in your past and he was aware of your penchant for underage gambling and drinking and even went with you to gamble on occasion. He knew that you were no innocent, Joran. When you called for help in a panicked state did your father find someone he could trust to help get rid of Natalee's body? Did he refuse to allow to have his property searched during those first crucial hours because Natalee was still ON his property? Did he conspire with you and others to get Natalee out of there and into the sea? Did he call you and your friend's the Kalpoe brothers together over a period of several days as you stated in your interview, to discuss the alibi; you know, the one where you dropped her off at the Holiday Inn. What arrangements were made to get rid of Natalee and who helped you? Any reasonable person knows that she didn't just disappear from a spot on beach where other people would have seen her and possibly come to her aid if she was staggering around, lost and incoherent after you supposedly left her there. Once you and your friends were finally detained and placed in custody and the Security Guards you were more than willing to lay blame on proved to have an alibi, did the Kalpoe's tell the police that you and Natalee were dropped off at the beach together? Did you have to adopt that story as the TRUE story because that's all the Kalpoe's knew about what happened between you and Natalee? You could then segue into the absolutely true story that you supposedly told Chris Cuomo on "Primetime". The, "I was wrong to have left her there but I didn't kill her" story? What about your shoes Joran? Even you have to admit that leaving your shoes behind when you could have easily gotten back out of the car that was going to drive you home and retrieved your shoes if Natalee was merely sitting on the beach and was fine (other than being either drunk, semi-conscious, or asleep). Your story about those shoes defies believe, Joran. Where did Natalee die Joran? How did she die? Where did you put her afterward? Paulus? How about you? Can you answer these questions or will that incriminate both YOU and YOUR son? Your claimed on "Primetime" that you wanted to finally tell the truth...well, we are still waiting. We didn't hear it during that interview because you were too busy blaming Natalee and her family for ALL of your actions that night. An innocent person doesn't have to lie, Joran, and an innocent person doesn't have to blame the victim. You did both. We are waiting for the truth, Joran. Maybe you will tell it in your book or in a movie made for television? Oh, and Joran, that story about not having a condom...did you also forget your wallet? Were you carrying cash in your pocket when you gambled at the casino or when you were buying drinks at Carlos & Charlie's? You have a real problem with keeping track of your possessions. Shoes, condoms...all missing. and forgotten.
