Are Democrats About To Trash The Construction..??

By Ken Hughes
Feb. 21, 2006

An article in the Boston Globe by Rick Klein says Democrats are working on a plan to redeploy troop in Iraq to safer areas. This is not authorized by my constitution. My constitution says the president is the commander in chief of the military. It also says [paraphrased] Congress shall authorize the president to conduct wars, and then butt out. There’re more pressing issues congress should be dealing with, illegal immigration, a national energy policy, social security, etc. This group of Democrats is basically brain dead if they think the American public will stand still for this assault on the constitution.

This proposal is the result of lack of leadership in the Democratic Party. The stalwarts of Democratic Party, Howard Dean, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Teddy Kennedy, and on and on. Democrats have become the NO party. Their sole response to political discourse is nasty, Nasty and more NASTY. The closer the elections get the nastier Democrats get. They are incapable of formulating a successful stratigy challenging Republicans. Democrats have never been so divided as they are this election season. Less than half of the Democrats in congress are content with the way Howard Dean is conducting DNC affairs. He’s been a failed fund raiser he’s to vocal for many. He’s rapidly becoming the Howdy Dowdy of the Democratic Party. The darling of the media on slow news days.

Should Democrats decide to step into the fiery pit of political suicide it would be an opportune time to see what the Supreme Court is made of. This redeployment plan of the Democrats could be a landmark care for the court to decide on the separations of power. Will the court uphold the constitution as the founding fathers signed it or will they determined the constitution is a living breathing document that must be flexible at the whims of the aristocracy?

President Bush has a wining argument when he says he’s the commander in chief and there will be no pull out from Iraq irregardless of what the Democrats propose. The so called Murtha plan, by the way Murtha’s 30 odd years of military service were primarily spent in a Car Wash in Pennsylvania as a reservist. His military service was about as impressive as John Kerry’s. The Murtha plan is surrendering to the terrorists and an abandonment of the Iraqis who are working to build a democracy. This war on terror is not a Vietnam and shouldn’t be turned into one by Democrats.

Democrats have had their way backed by the federal court system for years. Thank God, he / she / it sent us a man of dedication and determination as our president. A man not dependent on instant public approval and not subjects to the whims of the pollsters, a man who thinks it through then acts. This has been a problem for Democrats for the past two decades they rely on polls to form opinions. They must have the public’s perceived approval if they’re to act on one way or the other. That may be why none of their proposals are being taken seriously, they don’t have public support. Call me an optimist but I believe the coming elections are going to be a cake-walk for Republicans.

One only has to see the events going on in the world to know Democrats couldn’t handle them. If the polls didn’t tell them what to do they’d be lost. Wasn’t it Jimmy Carter who suggested a summit meeting with Osama bin Laden, only a democrat could come up with that one? Democrats believe if you give the terrorists a foot they won’t take the whole rope. Republicans know better Republicans believe they don’t rate a rope or an inch of a rope

Preemption in the name of freedom is no vice. Surrender in the name of freedom is no virtue. Paraphrasing Berry Goldwater
