Feb. 16, 2006 I was watching the O'Reilly Factor the other night on TV, and Clarence Page, a man who is sane at least half the time, was going over the edge, going off the deep end, and sinking like a stone in the pool of irrationality. One of his comments was that the White House reporters needed to investigate the Cheney/Whittington hunting accident because "it might have been a terrorist attack." Now, just for a moment, do you think terrorists carry 28ga shotguns loaded with birdshot? Page's statement was pure lunacy. And then there is Barry Sanders, a North Carolina newspaper columnist who claims that the incident was deliberate and was a clear warning to Scooter Libby that he better not talk or...or what? That the VP would pepper him with birdshot? Another incontrovertible sign of insanity on the part of left wing folks. Combine that with Al Gore's blatant insanity in recent speeches, Howard Dean's continued hysteria, and Teddy Kennedy's ranting, and it is obvious that the entire Democratic Party needs to be buying anti-psychotic drugs in bulk. Perhaps that is the real reason the Medicare drug benefit was passed. ------------ About the author Brooks A. Mick: Physician, still practicing medicine but retired from the US Army.
